A Moment of Silence, America Has Died

Where has America gone? At one time there was a country known for freedom, defender of the weak, and champion of the oppressed. That country died a long time ago and we need a moment of silence as no one noticed when it happened.

We watch now as the people of Libya who challenged a dictator for freedom and this once great country stood by as we watched them die while waiting for the world to do something. The world did something, they let them die. Can anyone explain why we waited for the UN while civilians were being bombed or shot because they wanted freedom? Who gave the UN the right to decide who lives and who dies? Forgot, America gave up its right to help those who long for freedom to a bunch of hand wringers. Since the UN was founded has anything gotten better or has it gotten where no one is blamed for anything? Everyone can now take a pass and claim "The UN Must Take Action" as it is world problem. Why should countries like China or Russia be able to tell us who to help and who doesn't get help?

America at one time would not have allowed this to happen but America as we knew her passed away a long time ago. Maybe we should blame the current administration for this as maybe President Reagan would have said enough and told Libya to cease killing civilians or pay the price. Remember he bombed them once for far less and I don't think he would have hesitated to do so again.

Obama has always disappeared during these time so why should we expect anything different. I feel sorry for America as it is now a second rate country and heading toward a third. Can this be turned around, don't know as our elected leaders can't even get our financial house in order.

What this has shown the world and our allies is that Obama can not be counted on and may be a coward. He is afraid to act for the right reasons and reacts for the wrong reasons. Does anyone remember him opening his mouth about how the police reacted? He tends to open his mouth before knowing the facts.

I want to apologize to the people of Libya who wanted freedom for their country and let them know someday we will have a new president. At that time maybe we will have the courage to help. America, England, and France should be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen. At one time these countries would have gone it alone and to the hell with the rest of the gutless countries. Does anyone remember WWII where these powers fought a great evil without asking permission from anyone?

Obamacare - Liars, Accounting Tricks, Hidden Cost

Do any of you remember the former idiot speaker standing up and stating she didn't know what was in the healthcare bill but we would have to pass it to find out? What a moron the democrats followed but not real surprising is it. Has your healthcare bill been reduced since Obamacare passed? Mine hasn't as I just received my new monthly bill and it has increased over $77.00 per month and now I am looking for cheaper insurance as this liar of a president continues to fail as a leader. 


Did anyone catch the statement on the hill of the health secretary (I think) where she stated that the savings from cutting Medicare was going to be used for TWO different things? The same money saved is going two places. Wonder how the hell that is possible but we need to remember this is Washington and anything can happen. What liars and deceitful people Obama has brought into the government. It's bad enough the president is a professional liar so I guess we shouldn't be surprised by her lying until she was under oath. I really enjoyed her sweating while having to tell the truth. It must have really hurt her. 


Did anyone watch Obama and his lies about oil production and how much oil we have access to in our country?Hell, that's another story for another time. Remember the story about the little boy whose nose got bigger when he lied? Keep watching Obama's ears, as they are growing with each lie. 

WHO CARES ABOUT FOOTBALL

How many of us would be willing to earn $3.6 million for three years work knowing at the end our profession would no longer exist? Most anyone would take that and smile but not the players union. For years they have screwed over the older players and not helped those who got next to nothing to establish the game that the cry baby's of todays league have.

The face of todays union are players such as Manning, Brees, and  Brady and we are to feel sorry for them? Give me a break as these super rich players don't get it. THEY work for the owners and the owners should be able to set the wage scale and benefits offered. If they don't like the offer, they should be able to go elsewhere and the owners should NOT be able to dictate where they go. There is nothing special about them or their union and they should function like other unions.

Real simple, if you don't like your job, go elsewhere and the owners should not be allowed to stop them. If the players sign a contract for 2 years, 3years or whatever, they have to adhere to it. No new contracts can be written during the first contract and if the player slacks off because they want more money, to bad. They will have to wait for the next contract or they can quit playing until the contract they signed expires.

I use to be a fan of baseball as I pitched into college but damaged my elbow. Loved baseball for over 12 years and now, I don't watch. I ceased caring about it when they canceled the world series because of a strike. All the men who play these sports need to remember, baseball, football, and basketball are games and they get paid to PLAY GAMES. If they all went away and we the public started with new players in those sports, we would enjoy them just as much in time. Yes, we would miss some of the players but would find new players to root for.

The players better wake up and understand THEY NEED "WE THE PUBLIC". The public can live without them. All the folks that have business based on sports need to get ready for bad times as the owners and players don't give a damn about you. The greed of both sides will be the death kneel of football as the strike in baseball has caused it to no longer be "Americas Game" as it once was.

OWNERS & PLAYERS, YOU HAVE TIME TO SETTLE THIS BEFORE

Biting The Bullet - Cutting Expenses.

I HOPE YOU WILL PARTICIPATE AND DO YOUR PART. 

The President ordered the cabinet to Cut $100 million from the $3.5 trillion federal budget.

I'm so impressed by this sacrifice That I have decided to do the same thing with my personal budget. 

I spend about $2000 a month on groceries, household expenses, medicine, Utilities, etc, but it's time to get out the budget cutting axe, go through my expenses, and cut back.

I'm going to cut my spending at Exactly the same ratio, 1/35,000 of my total budget.  After doing the math, it looks like instead of spending $2000 a month; I'm going to have to cut that number by six cents.

Yes, I'm going to have to get by with $1999.94, but that's what sacrifice is all about.  I'll just have to do without some things, that are, frankly, luxuries. (Did the president actually think: No One Would Do The Math??)

As I sat in the examination room, His nurse keyed in my information, name, address, date of birth, medicines I was taking, etc. Into a computer with a monitor with about a 16 inch screen. When the doctor came in to check me, he keyed in something and my data came up. I said to him, "You're really going high-tech". He pointed at the monitor and said, "That's by Obama. All doctors must have An electronic filing system in place by 2014". The Governor Should Stand Firm

As a former teamster member (Budweiser St Louis) I can state as a fact that some unions are disgusting and don't care about anything but themselves and dues they can get. During a strike at the brewery in the mid seventies, a possible bombing of a Switch Engine was rumored but never took place.

As a worker inside the brewery I saw first hand that production was the last thing the union wanted to see increased unless the company hired MORE union workers. As an example of union waste was a job I was given one night where I removed the apiece of the label on a bottle of Michelob. For eight hours not counting breaks, (we got to drink the products made at the brewery on breaks) I peeled off a piece of the label the size of half a quarter and earned approx. $22.00 per hour for something a monkey could do. This was around 1976/77 and it got only worse from there. There were oilers that oiled two machines twice during a eight hour shift and did nothing the rest of the time.

My final weekend there provide a glimpse of unions wanting to have people do NO WORK but have a job. I was called a Blue Tab which meant I was not full time yet but working my way there. One weekend the regular union members were mad about something and all Blue Tabs were called in for the weekend. Saturday night I was to load a box car with pallets of beer. When the regular unions members were working, they had one member getting the beer and another member loading it inside the car. This night I retrieved my own beer and loaded the box car while taking all my breaks and finished about 30 minutes early. Not hard, didn't break a sweat.

Sunday night I worked a Palletizer (machine stacked beer on pallets). Normally there were two union members doing this as one would load pallets in the rear of the machine and the other would take loaded pallets and place in storage. Once again I did both jobs by myself, took all breaks and still finished my shift early. What did I get for myself, FIRED BY THE UNION. I was never called back to work by the union as they controlled which blue tabs were called back each weekend. I needed two more weekends to become full time.

What I learned that weekend was, unions don't want to much productivity as it reduces the number of people employed and their power. They want your dues to spend however they want and that is it. It was sad to learn that to succeed in a union (teamsters) you had to not work.

I was also a member of the Steelworkers and have no complaints about that union as the harder I worked, the more I was paid for that productivity. That is something the Teamster have yet to learn and many companies also.      

Greed is usually drive unions not the quality of the product or service. Teachers, how many do not want to be retested to assure they are still qualified to instruct your children. Hell, people who work in the construction industry have to be retested in different field to be sure they are still qualified. What make a teacher exempt from being retested?

Wisconsin Strikers Should Get Their Way

I agree the protesters should get their way over the pay, healthcare cost and collective bargaining. As they are unwilling to pay a higher percentage or half what the general public does to balance the budget I believe the schools should layoff thousand of teachers, teacher aids, cut funding for ALL sports for all grade levels. Once this is done should additional cuts be made, they should look at ceasing to bus students to school and make the parents drive their children or have the children walk to school. Walking will also help Obama's wife get children who are obese slimmed down.

Lets take this one more step, cease all building construction that is either underway for new schools as with fewer teachers around they won't need more school rooms. Once all of the above is followed, the budget may be closer to meeting reality then it is now.

One more thing that has shown it needs to be looked at and that is Doctors. Some doctors have written notes excusing teachers claiming they are sick. If these doctors can be found and identified, their licenses to practice      medicine should be suspended until they can once again pass the medical board testing as they can't tell if someone is sick or just a liar (teacher).

Teachers and Doctors have shown themselves for what they are, law breakers, liars, and selfish. They are setting a wonderful example for their previous students. I say previous as I hope many are terminated that have broken the law and assisted in fraud claiming they were sick so they could protest. If they want to protest that is fine but the teachers show they don't give a damn about your kids, only themselves. They can protest after school hours and not make the children they are teaching pay for their greed.
