I'm voting Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they will then know we're really good people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as IT sees fit.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit the liberal fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.

The democrats and republicans are going to add so much pork to the new stimulus package they are talking about it will look like the Goodyear Blimp. Colin Powell Chose Color Over Integrity

At one time I respected Colin Powell as a leader of men and a respected military man. Now he is just a person who sold out and switched their political party because of color. Yes I said color and some may say even worse. It is my understanding that Powell had been a conservative most if not all his adult life.

I call Powell a racist because he switched because of color only and not what policies Obama supports. Going from a conservative to vote for the most liberal democrat is not likely except for selling out due to color.

He's not the only former Conservative who has done this. I also understand another conservative J.C. Watts is also supporting Obama the Liberal. Two of the most conservative republicans become supporters of the most liberal democrat can only led us to believe it is for color only. Yes, this election is becoming an election on color partially and in the future I believe it will only get worse.

Please don't call me a racist also as I would have voted for Ms. Rice, and I thought J.C. Watts would have been an excellent VP if selected but now because of his support for the most liberal Senator, he should not longer be mentioned as a Republican but line up with the democrats. He decided color was more important then integrity. Mr. Steel is another man of color that I would have supported if I could have voted for him. I try to look at everyone as an American not at their color. I wasn't brought up to see color, only the person.

When I see Obama I see color as he made it an issue and reading various books about him he made color a very large thing in his life. He's like some people in the south that still have the confederate flag. America has no place for people like him or those with the confederate flag. Until blacks and whites get over what happened over 200 years ago, nothing will change.

The only person who has brought race into this election has been Obama the racist and it will only get worse if he is elected. His wife is a racist and has spoken/written about the hate for white America. A racist president and racist first lady is not what this country needs.

Elect Obama if You Want Socialism

This election is coming down to the form of government we want. The choices may not seem clear but if we listen to Obama and read some of his past history we will learn he is fundamentally a Socialist. The people that influenced him, the friends he associated with and the teachings he was exposed to show way he follows a "Spread the Wealth" thinking.

I don't blame him for being a socialist but I do hold him responsible for not being honest with the American people. Our country has never embraced this form of government and now we have someone I will call him the "Stealth Socialist" running for president. Should this man be elected I am not sure what will happen to this country and form of government we know. Right now we are hanging by a thread from going socialist because of the democrats and their liberal ideas. Our founding fathers never envisioned our country as it has become today with government being inside every one's life. We use to be a free people with limited government intrusion and redistribution of our money. That is about to change and it won't be for the good of anyone. The day may come where we have to fight for our freedom again. Vote for freedom not socialism as Barack Hussein Obama preaches.

Stop the Taxes

The latest data shows that a big portion of the federal income tax burden is shoul­dered by a small group of the very richest Americans.

The wealthiest 1 percent of the population earn 19 per­cent of the income but pay 37 percent of the income tax. The top 10 percent pay 68 percent of the tab.

What would happen if the top 1 percent decided not to work for one year of take any income. Do you think we could bring Washington to its knees? If the crooks there don't have the money, they can't spend it. They would either cut wasteful spending or raise taxes on the rest of us. What would be better is if the top 10 percent ceased working for one year and the government lost 68 percent of the taxes paid. If you don't work and live off your savings for one year, "We The People" just might bring the politicians to their knees. They just might have to listen to the people they work for and not do as they damn well please to.

Didn’t the Bush tax cuts favor the rich?

The New York Times reported recently that the average family in America with an income of $10 million or more received a half-million-dollar tax cut, while the middle class got crumbs (less than $100 shaved off their tax bill). If we examine the taxes paid in a static world—that is, if we assume that there was no change in behavior and economic performance as a result of the tax code—then these numbers are meaningful. Most of the tax cuts went to the super wealthy.
But Americans did respond to the tax cuts. There was more investment, more hiring by businesses, and a stronger stock market. When we compare the taxes paid under the old system with those paid after the Bush tax cuts, the rich are now actually paying a higher proportion of income taxes. The latest IRS data show an increase of more than $100 billion in tax payments from the wealthy by 2005 alone. The number of tax filers who claimed taxable income of more than $1 million increased from approximately 180,000 in 2003 to over 300,000 in 2005. The total taxes paid by these millionaire households rose by about 80 percent in two years, from $132 billion to $236 billion.

But haven’t the tax cuts put more of the burden

on the backs of the middle class and the poor?

No. I examined the Treasury Department analysis of how much the rich would have paid without the Bush tax cuts and how much they actually did pay. The rich are now paying more than they would have paid, not less, after the Bush investment tax cuts. For example, the Treasury’s estimate was that the top 1 percent of earners would pay 31 percent of taxes if the Bush cuts did not go into effect; with the cuts, they actually paid 37 per­cent. Similarly, the share of the top 10 percent of earners was estimated at 63 percent without the cuts; they actually paid 68 percent.
