A Black Lives Matter march through Midtown Manhattan turned violent Friday night, with 11 protesters arrested.
The NYPD reported that two officers suffered minor injuries during the protest, which was attended by about 100 marchers; officials could not immediately say how the cops were hurt.
At least some of those arrested were accused of attacking Daily News photographer Sam Costanza at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and 54th Street in the mistaken belief that he was a cop, sources said.
The photographer was surrounded and struck after one of the marchers recognized him from a BLM protest outside the NYPD’s 6th Precinct house in Greenwich Village last year, according to sources.
The agitated protester began yelling, “He’s a cop,” inciting many of his fellow marchers.
About a dozen people surrounded the photog, shoving him and beating him with their fists and other objects, sources said.
The NYPD confirmed the attack, telling The Post “a member of the media” was assaulted, and police made “a number of arrests.”
The photographer, who suffered a bloody nose, was not seriously injured and declined medical attention, police said.

Some BLM dumb ass yelled out he is a cop and yet he worked for the "The Post" and was not a policeman. My Grandfather was a policeman and he would have never stood by for this. Officers take an oath to protect and if some damn mayor tells them to stand down, they need to tell him or her no and then do their job. People who you are protecting will stand up for you.
Until we take the kid gloves off and treat them like they deserve, nothing will change. BLM and Antifa are both crime organizations and need to be dealt with as such. Sad to say a bunch of liberal/socialist are running the cities where this is happening, nothing will be done.
If you want your cities and towns back, you have to vote those people out before you have take up arms to defend your own home. Remember what happened when the couple in St Louis did, the punks backed off as the husband had a AR15 Style rifle.
That couple saved their home and maybe more from BLM trash but the dumbs as City Attorney has tried to charge them but I pray that will be dropped.
