Retired Republican Senator Jeff Flake will vote for Biden over Trump and says GOP needs 'a sound defeat' in 2020 election

Retired Republican Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona will not be voting for Donald Trump this November. No, he'll be voting for a Democrat for president for the first time in his life. (Who Cares)

"This won’t be the first time I’ve voted for a Democrat — though not for president [before]. Last time I voted for a third-party candidate. ... But I will not (WHO CARES) vote for Donald Trump," Mr Flake said in an interview with The Washington Post.

Mr Flake insisted that he is "not trying to burn the place down or anything else," but that he's trying to get back what he feels is the lost soul of the Republican party. HOW THE HELL WOULD HE KNOW

The best thing for the future of the Republican party would be "a sound defeat" for Mr Trump in November, Mr Flake said. "No doubt. Long term for the Republican Party, you bet. And for conservatism as well."

By the end of his first and only term as senator from 2013 to 2019, Mr Flake had the worst relationship with Mr Trump of any Senate Republican, as he openly and consistently denounced many of the president's controversial remarks and opposed a handful of his political and judicial appointments. (Like I said, Liberal Trash) 

The men's relationship was never strong. Mr Flake called on Mr Trump to withdraw from the 2016 presidential race after the emergence of the Access Hollywood tape where Mr Trump openly brags about sexually assaulting women. Mr Trump was so enraged with Mr Flake that his White House was recruiting GOP primary challengers against the senator in the summer of 2017.

While many Republican senators who were critical of Mr Trump early in the 2016 campaign, such as South Carolina's Lindsey Graham, eventually fell in line with the president and have become some of his closest political allies, Mr Flake remained defiantly on the periphery. When he announced his retirement (No Loss) from the Senate in the fall of 2018 amid politically untenable approval ratings, he delivered a scathing speech against the state of politics in Washington that spared no one, not least of all his Republican colleagues nor Mr Trump.

The GOP's aggressive public embrace of the president's hard-nosed political style isn't a Washington-only phenomenon, Mr Flake lamented in his interview with the Post. Trumpism has ensnared Mr Flake's home state politicians, too, including many people to whom the former senator has long personal and political ties.

Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix for one of the president's notoriously lively and raucous campaign rallies. In years past, many Arizona lawmakers were reticent about appearing onstage with the Mr Trump. That's no longer the case.

"The other night it was painful to watch the rally in Arizona: the president onstage with virtually all of my Republican colleagues from Arizona — the governor on down, some of whom had been reluctant previously to be on a campaign stage with the president. It is not all gloom and doom for his party, though, Mr Flake suggested. In private conversations, many Republicans acknowledge they've submitted to a "trade-off" in which they publicly tolerate Mr Trump's bombast and anti-institutionalism in exchange for his signature on conservative policies, his nomination of conservative judges and his enactment of tax and regulatory reform. That trade-off is not intended to last forever.

Mr Flake expressed confidence that the GOP can veer back towards a vision that is more inclusive and not fuelled, in his own words, by "anger and resentment."

"I don’t know anyone who thinks that this is the future of the party. This is a demographic cul-de-sac we’re in, if nothing else. Anger and resentment only go so far; you have to have a governing philosophy. I don’t know of any of my colleagues who really believe this is it."

More Than 200,000 People Signed A Petition Asking Ruth's Chris To Return $20 Million In Small Business Loans

More than 200,000 people have signed a petition urging Ruth's Hospitality Group, the company behind Ruth's Chris Steak House, to return the $20 million it was granted via Payment Protection Program (PPP) loans meant to help small businesses during the COVID-19 outbreak. This was first reported on by Business Insider.

Two subsidiaries of Ruth's Hospitality Group—RCSH Operations, LLC and RCSH Operations, Inc.—were each granted PPP loans of $10 million in early April, according to an SEC filing. Shortly after, a petition was created on Change.org urgingRuth's Chris Steak House CEO Mike O'Donnell to return the money to the Small Business Association. As of this writing, the petition has 220,000 signatures.

"Many small businesses are now being told there is no money left for them, and they cannot pay their employees, and may have to close forever," the petition reads in part: "This is a travesty, and a disgusting display of corporate greed during a time of disaster. Tell Ruth's Chris Steak House 'Return the money now! You will be shamed forever if you do not. People will not forget.'"

Delish reached out to Ruth's Hospitality Group for comment but did not immediately hear back. Ruth's Hospitality Group was able to apply for the loans, which are meant for small businesses like restaurants, because it fulfilled the requirement of having less than 500 employees per location, something that has garnered some backlash from those who feel larger companies have been able to take advantage of this factor. The fund has since been depleted of its $349 million funding before many places were able to apply and countless others were denied.

Shake Shack was similarly criticized last week after it applied for, and received, a $10 million loan through the CARES Act. The company announced it was returning that money on Sunday after receiving additional capital it needed. The company's CEO Randy Garutti and founder Danny Meyer also penned an open letter criticizing the loan application process, calling it "extremely confusing."

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume chose an unexpected tack to back up his accusations that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is senile on Tuesday night—he pointed to his own age and memory issues.

Appearing on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, Hume was asked to weigh in on host Tucker Carlson’s theory that Democratic Party leaders will look to replace Biden as the party’s nominee with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo over fears about the former vice president’s mental acuity. (Carlson has been pushing this prediction for weeks now.)

Hume, who has repeatedly claimed that Biden is suffering from cognitive mental decline, said he thinks Democrats “have to be worried about Biden.” Pointing to recent gaffes in TV interviews, Hume asserted that the 77-year-old ex-veep is “having a hard time keeping his thoughts together and being able to say what he needs to say.”

The 76-year-old longtime Fox personality then decided to use himself as an example to make the case that Biden had lost his mental faculties.

“I have no doubt about what the problem is,” Hume continued. “I’m about the same age as he is and I experience the same kind of memory problems he does. I think he’s senile and I don’t think there can be much doubt about it.”

The Fox News analyst said “it’s not necessarily crippling but it doesn’t help,” insisting that Biden is President Donald Trump’s “best hope” of getting re-elected due to concerns over Biden’s mental fitness.

“I think Donald Trump will have an uphill struggle,” he added. “Biden might save him by being Biden.”

One Woman Filed a Criminal Complaint that Could Force Joe Biden to Drop Out - Liberals Will NEVER BELIEVE HER

Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign was rocked by a bombshell allegation they never saw coming. And it involves an alleged sexual assault scandal from Biden’s past. Now this one woman filed a criminal complaint that could force Joe Biden to drop out.

Tara Reade is a former Biden staffer that recently stepped forward with credible allegations that Biden “digitally” raped her back in 2003 when Reade worked in Biden’s Senate office.

“And then he went down my skirt and then up inside it. And he penetrated me with his fingers, whatever. And he was kissing me at the same time and he was saying something to me. He said several things and I can’t remember everything [that] he said. I remember a couple of things. I remember his saying, first, like as he was doing it, ‘Do you want to go somewhere else?’ and then him saying to me, when I pulled away, he got finished doing what he was doing and I, how I was pulled back and he said, ‘Come on man, I heard you liked me.’ That phrase stayed with me because I kept thinking what I might have said. And I can’t remember exactly if he said ‘I thought’ or if ‘I heard.’ It’s like he implied that I had done this,” Reade stated.

Reade went even farther attempting to file a criminal complaint with the Washington, D.C. police. But Reade posted to her social media that the statute of limitations on the alleged assault expired.

“I filed a police report for safety reasons only. All crim stats beyond limitations. Gratitude for all who have stood by me,” Reade wrote.

Biden’s deputy communications director Kate Bedingfield attempted to thread the needle by not trying to dismiss Reade’s allegations but also not trying to give them any credence.

‘Women have the right to tell their story, and reporters have an obligation to rigorously vet those claims,’ Bedingfield declared. ‘We encourage them to do so, because these accusations are false.’

Biden and other Democrats bought into the “believe all women” narrative when Christine Blasey Ford stepped forward with her hoax allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.

But while many Americans judged Blasey Ford to not tell the truth, Reade’s allegations appear far more credible because she told other Senate staffers about the alleged assault after it happened.

Biden is already facing a massive enthusiasm gap with President Trump. A Washington Post Poll found a historic low number of Democrats enthused about Biden’s candidacy.

The fake news media is trying to bury this scandal – the New York Times, Amazon, Washington Post, fake news CNN and MSNBC have not mentioned Reade’s name once – because they know allegations of a powerful man sexually assaulting a woman will further depress Biden’s turnout.

Democrats delayed their convention this summer and many pundits believe they are giving themselves time to see if these allegations gain traction and if Biden’s support further erodes. If so, Democrats will swap out Biden for a replacement like New York Governor Andrew Cuomo or their all-time dream candidate, former First Lady Michelle Obama.

AOC deletes tweet saying she ‘loved’ to see US oil prices at record-low after being accused of cheering job losses

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has deleted a tweet that celebrated the crash of the oil market which said: "You absolutely love to see it."

As the price of US oil dropped to minus $37 a barrel on Monday, the Democrat had said on Twitter that the crash was an opportunity to ‘save the planet’.

"You absolutely love to see it," wrote Ms Ocasio-Cortez. "This along with record low-interest rates means it's the right time for a worker-led, mass investment in green infrastructure to save our planet. *cough*"

Those comments were criticised by Republicans such as Texas congressman Jodey Arrington, who retorted: “I don’t ‘love to see’ oil & gas workers & their rural communities suffering as a result of this devastating price collapse, @AOC.”

Mr Arrington added: “'Places like West Texas & hard-working men & women in the oil patch power the bright lights of NYC...including the hospitals!”

She added: “Fossil fuels are in long-term structural decline. This along with low interest rates means it‘s the right time to create millions of jobs transitioning to renewable and clean energy. A key opportunity.”

Ms Ocasio-Cortez has been a prominent supporter of a Green New Deal that would see the US economy turn towards greener energy sources, whilst addressing income inequality. 

Oil prices rebounded on Tuesday after US oil prices turned negative for the first time on record. 

The market crash came as oil producers began running out of space to store surplus oil created by the slowdown in the world’s economies during the coronavirus pandemic.

During his tenure in that position, he purposely covered up three separate outbreaks of cholera (in 2006, 2009, and 2011) by simply renaming the deadly epidemics as “Acute Watery Diarrhea (AWD)” – even after the diagnosis of Vibrio Cholerae, the bacteria that causes cholera, had been confirmed. According to the Amhara Professionals Union, a Washington-based organization that seeks to protect the political and economic rights of the Amhara people of northwest Ethiopia: “[Tedros’s] priority … was to conceal the impact a public admission of cholera epidemic might have on tourism and [the] image of his Party, rather than protecting the international community and attempting to reach out to the affected areas. Such a sad error due to lack of judgment resulted in a nationwide epidemic.” From 2012-16, Tedros was Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. While holding that position, he greatly strengthened his own personal — as well as his nation’s — ties to Communist China. Indeed, during Tedros’s years as Foreign Minister, China loaned more than $13 billion to his impoverished country — investments that were intended, in part, to make Ethiopia a strategic bridge for Beijing’s imperialist designs on the African continent. In December 2014, Tedros and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi wrote a joint op-ed in which they gave voice to the close bond that was developing between their respective countries. Below is an excerpt from that piece: “[O]n the basis of the principles of equality, mutual respect and win-win cooperation, China and Ethiopia have developed multi-dimensional relations, with people-to-people, business-to-business, government-to-government, and party-to-party relations as the cornerstones of the relationship. We are sincere friends, reliable partners, and good brothers … each rejoicing in the successes the other has achieved…. China has become the biggest foreign investor and the largest trading partner of Ethiopia.” In 2017, Tedros ran for the post of Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), a specialized agency of the United Nations. But at that same time, a report appeared in the Ethiopian News & Views bulletin stating that he stood accused of complicity in the commission of “crimes against humanity.” That charge was related not only to the three aforementioned cholera coverups, but also to allegations  surrounding Tedros’s longstanding political affiliation with the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), an organization that: (a) grew out of the Marxist-Leninist League of Tigray (MLLT); (b) was responsible for horrific atrocities in Ethiopia — particularly targeting the Amhara ethnic group in the country’s northwest region; and (c) had become Ethiopia’s principal ruling party. In the 1990s, the U.S. government listed TPLF as a terrorist group. The Global Terror Database continues to list it as such, given the organization’s ongoing commission of armed attacks in rural areas. Meanwhile, the aforementioned Amhara Professionals Union has issued many accusations of systematic discrimination and human-rights abuses perpetrated by TPLF. Tedros, for his part, is a high-ranking member of TPLF’s Central Committee, or politburo. The “crimes against humanity” allegations pertain, in part, to a systematic genocide that was carried out — at a time when Tedros was a leading figure in Ethiopia’s public-health infrastructure — against the Amhara, whom TPLF has identified as its “eternal enemy.” As the Amhara Professionals Union explains: “The candidate has treated his own citizens differently based on their ethnicity…. [Tedros], who descends from Tigre ethnic group, disfavored the ‘Amhara Regional State’ through poor health care. For instance, disproportionately high mortality coupled with selective application of contraceptives use has led to a selective reduction of the growth rate of the Amhara people. Such disparities were created and gaps increased across all measures of health in his leadership tenure. Of particular importance is the unexplained 2.5 million decrease in the Amhara population [between 1994 and 2007] under his healthcare leadership. The Amharas were victimized and punished due to their ethnic background.” TPLF provided millions of dollars for Tedros’s campaign to become the leader of the WHO. Those funds – along with vital support from China – propelled Tedros to victory when, at the Seventieth World Health Assembly in May 2017, the WHO Member States elected him to a five-year term as their Director-General, making him the first person to hold that position without a medical degree. Notably, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping was the WHO’s longtime goodwill ambassador – a post that enabled her to effectively promote Chinese interests under the penumbra of the UN. Upon formally taking the reins of the WHO on July 1, 2017, Tedros outlined several priorities upon which he intended to focus. Most notably: (a) universal health coverage (based on models in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Sri Lanka), and (b) the health impacts of climate and environmental change. On October 18, 2017, Tedros announced that he had chosen Zimbabwe’s former president, the Marxist tyrant Robert Mugabe, to serve as a WHO goodwill ambassador helping to deal with non-communicable diseases in Africa. Tedros justified his selection of Mugabe by lauding Zimbabwe as “a country that places universal health coverage and health promotion at the center of its policies to provide health care to all.” But in fact, Zimbabwe’s health system, like everything else under the broad shadow of Mugabe’s dictatorship, was in total collapse. Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported that Mugabe’s “utter mismanagement of the economy has devastated health services” in his homeland. HRW’s Kenneth Roth noted that “[w]hen you go to Zimbabwean hospitals, they lack the most basic necessities.” And the prominent Zimbabwean politician Obert Gutu said: “The Zimbabwe health delivery system is in a shambolic state, it is an insult. Mugabe trashed our health delivery system…. he allowed our public hospitals to collapse.” Moreover, it was an open secret that even Mugabe himself did not use his own country’s health system when he needed medical care, traveling instead to Singapore for treatment. As a result of widespread public outrage sparked by the Mugabe nomination, Tedros was forced to withdraw Mugabe’s name from consideration. During the deadly coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 – which originated in Wuhan, China in the fall of 2019 before infecting millions of people in more than 180 countries across the globe – Tedros was very slow to take any measures to stem the spread of the disease. On December 31, 2019, Taiwanese officials warned the WHO that they had seen evidence that the coronavirus could be spread by means of human-to-human transmission. But because the agency, in deference to Beijing, did not have a normal relationship with Taiwan, the warning was ignored. Fully two weeks later — on January 14, 2020 — the WHO tweeted that: “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission.” The agency did not correct that falsehood until January 21. On January 22-23 – by which time the coronavirus had already spread to a number of other countries – a WHO emergency committee debated whether or not to declare COVID-19 a “public health emergency of international concern.” But Tedros elected not to do so, and instead took a trip to Beijing to discuss the matter with Chinese officials. When he finally issued a “public health emergency” declaration on January 30, Tedros took pains to point out that the “WHO doesn’t recommend limiting trade and movement.” That announcement was accompanied by a large dose of propaganda on China’s behalf. “The Chinese government is to be congratulated for the extraordinary measures it has taken to contain the [coronavirus] outbreak,” said Tedros, adding: “I left in absolutely no doubt about China’s commitment to transparency, and to protecting the world’s people.” “We would have seen many more cases outside China by now,” he emphasized, “and probably deaths — if it were not for the government’s efforts, and the progress they have made to protect their own people and the people of the world.” In the first week of February, Tedros reiterated that it was unnecessary for nations around the world to implement any restrictions that might “unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade.” He also sang the praises of China yet again: “I was so impressed with my meeting with President Xi and his commitment to take serious measures to prevent the spread of the virus to other countries.” As February gave way to March, Tedros continued to laud Beijing for what he described as its exemplary response to the virus outbreak. As late as March 9, he fervently denied any suggestion that the virus had become a pandemic. In fact, the WHO did not assign that term to the outbreak until March 11. By repeatedly covering for China’s lies and malfeasance, Tedros and the WHO caused populations across the globe to lose precious time in initiating their battle strategies against the pandemic. By mid-April, more than 150,000 people worldwide had died of COVID-19, and economic ruin had descended upon every corner of the earth. The Wall Street Journal reported on April 5, 2020, that according to a University of Southampton study, “the number of coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95% had China moved to contain the virus three weeks sooner.” But instead, Tedros and the WHO had been busy heaping praise upon Beijing for of public health in 2011. The fact that he’s being accused of sexual assault by a former Senate staffer is terrible for Joe Biden and now he’s got a financial liability as well.

Hunter Biden is a huge liability to his own campaign.

The mainstream media has already had to explain away the fact that Joe Biden threatened to withdraw American foreign aid from Ukraine if the prosecutor investigating the company Hunter Biden was being paid by wasn’t fired

But Hunter Biden wasn’t just working with Busima in Ukraine, he was also on the board of a Chinese company as well.

In 2013 Hunter Biden flew with then-Vice President Joe Biden who was going to China on official business.

Hunter Biden had just started a small private equity firm called Rosemont Seneca with John Kerry’s son and they were looking to make a big deal with the Bank of China, which is owned by the Chinese government.

12 days later, Rosemont Seneca got a $1 billion private equity deal with the Bank of China and the two came together to create a $1 billion investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST(BHR).

Hunter Biden claimed when the story broke in October of last year that he would resign from BHR’s board by the end of the month.

Yet the Daily Caller discovered Hunter Biden did not follow through on his promise:

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, told the Daily Caller News Foundation in early November that his client had resigned from BHR’s board, but he did not provide any evidence of his departure from the Chinese private equity firm at the time.

Chinese business records the DCNF accessed Tuesday still name Hunter Biden as a director of BHR. He also retains a 10% equity stake in BHR through his company, Skaneateles LLC, business records for the Chinese private equity firm show.

BHR manages the equivalent of $2.1 billion in assets, according to its website. Hunter Biden has served as an unpaid member of BHR’s board since its founding in 2013, and in October 2017 he obtained his equity stake in the firm with a $420,000 investment, according to Mesires.

Joe Biden has repeatedly criticized Trump for being too hard on China during the coronavirus outbreak.

The fact that his son is in business with the Chinese government calls into question his loyalties in these troubling times.

If Joe Biden becomes president will he give favorable treatment to countries that give his son good business deals.

America can’t afford to take that risk.
