CNN anchor Don Lemon on Monday night broke with the network’s head over the live broadcasting of President Trump’s coronavirus press briefings, calling it “a plot” and warning that Trump is “never, ever going to tell you the truth.” (Sounds like he is talking about CNN)

“I’m not actually sure, if you want to be honest, that we should carry that live. I think we should run snippets (better know was Editing like they do many time) . I think we should do it afterwards and get the pertinent points to the American people because he’s never, ever going to tell you the truth,” Lemon told fellow host Chris Cuomo during their nightly handoff.

He pointed to Trump’s sparring with media during the question-and-answer periods of the briefings, saying the president reacts to questions negatively “because he wants his base to think that the media is being mean to him and they’re attacking him.” (Well they are and that is not new)

“It is all a plot. It is all orchestrated. And if you can’t see it, I don’t know what you’re looking at,” Lemon claimed. “It’s obvious, it’s transparent to me . . . those press briefings have become his new ‘Apprentice.’ They’ve become his new rallies. And he treats the press and the media as if he’s talking to the people at his rallies. (He is except idiots like you) It’s the same thing. It’s no different except the audience isn’t there.” (Sure we are there, but watching a station with more then 2 people watching) 

After Cuomo pushed back, saying that there is “too much of a need for information” to broadcast the live pressers, Lemon went further, saying he is not “frustrated,” but is just “pointing out the obvious.”

“Pointing out the obvious, especially as a journalist, is not being political. (Be nice if you knew what the truth was and what people seem to appreciate) If we don’t do that, then we are not doing our duty as journalists (you have never been a journalists) to point that out,” Lemon argued. “That’s our job to point that out. ( if the truth is your job, YOUR FIRED) That’s exactly what he’s doing.”

He then began impersonating Trump, ( Wrong color Don, your acting like a RACISTS) challenging Cuomo to ask a “real question” and responding with what he called a “stock answer.”

“I don’t like wasting people’s time (you waste peoples time every day your on) and I don’t like people being bamboozled. That’s it,” Lemon stated. “. . . Whether he gets reelected, that’s not on me. People can vote for whoever they want as their president but as a journalist, I want to make sure that they’re getting the right (you wouldn't know the right info) information, their time is not being wasted, and that the administration is not using our airwaves to have the president promote things that aren’t necessarily true. That’s it.”

CNN chief Jeff Zucker told employees on Monday that while “it’s a very difficult decision, as of now, we are going to continue to carry those briefings.”

Trump’s polling numbers have risen in recent weeks, with overall positive views on his handling of the coronavirus. Last week, Trump scored a net positive approval rating for the first time in the Washington Post-ABC News poll.

CNN chief political correspondent Dana Bash praised Trump after a coronavirus press briefing earlier this month, saying his tone is one “that people need and want and yearn for in times of crisis and uncertainty.”

2: The Virus “Science” STILL Does Not Care What We Believe SO be Prepared (to HOPE).

I wrote a post on Facebook a week ago “The Virus Science Does Not Care What We Believe SO be Prepared (to LOVE)” and I was so incredibly blessed by your responses, outpouring of love, and sharing. Because I care so much about all of you, I wanted to give you an update on COVID-19 since that post. As I said, I teach my doctoral students that “Science doesn’t care what we believe, it only respects the data.” At the time I said “we don’t yet know how many people in the US currently have the virus. If it were to be only 100,000 people, our social distancing policies would have a great chance of blunting the growth curve, and all those folks who don’t believe it will be a big deal might be right.” Well we are way past that. Yesterday, we exceeded 100,000 cases in the USA alone and the virus is in exponential growth which means that the cases will double every three days. If this growth rate continues, that would mean that we would have almost a half a million people by the time I write an update next weekend. As the numbers grow each day, the statistics in the US have surpassed every other country in the world. I was on a phone call with one of the leading virologists in the world this week, and he emphasized the virus is everywhere no matter what the numbers (limited by not having enough tests) say.

As a dear friend and scientist, I want to reemphasize several important facts. First, this is not the common flu. It is more contagious than the common flu by approximately 2.5 times, and much more lethal. It has a hospitalization rate of 10 to 20% compared to 1 to 2% for the common flu. It has a fatality rate in Italy and Spain of 7 to 10%. That is at least 500 times greater than the common flu. As I said before, it is especially deadly (almost by 10 times) to the elderly and people with preexisting conditions (age greater than 70, heart disease, lung disease, cancer). If you are hospitalized, you are 10 times more likely to die from the disease without a ventilator so that’s why the issue of ventilators has been in front of the news. 

Once again, we must accept the science, stop the bickering, conspiracies and come together as the beautiful, powerful nation that we are and always have been. To slow this virus will require a level of dedication to protecting each other by social distancing unthinkable under any other circumstance. I love you all and I urge you to social distance to protect yourself but especially the precious elderly and folks with preexisting conditions.
 
I know all this sounds very scary but please know that my intention to not to scare you, but to help provide you reliable information that allows you to keep yourself and those you love safe. Most importantly, we must be prepared (and you will again to be surprised by what I say) to HOPE. As I said in the last post, our primitive instinct to control what is dangerous has the capacity to produce great fear and anxiety, and I am certain many of you are feeling it. I know many of you have lost your jobs. I’m so sorry. 

As bad as this is, we will get through this…or as my mom used to say “this too will pass.” I base my hope on four key principles. First, my mom, she was NEVER wrong and so I don’t anticipate she will be wrong this time. 

Second, our economy will be able to overcome this if we simply give it time. Global health expert and Microsoft founder Bill Gates made an outstanding point the other night that if we would simply but extensively social distance for six weeks, the virus would lose its capacity to be transferred, cases would be dramatically reduced, and we could begin to build again. We are an extraordinary, entrepreneurial and diverse people and as we did in other critical times (the Civil War, the Great Depression, World War II, 9/11), we have shown unbelievable resilience and have come back stronger each time. 

Third as a scientist, I have great confidence in my field and all of our sophisticated tools and supercomputers... We are the best in the world at what we do and that’s why young scientists from all over the world come to train here. I believe we will find an already existing drug or newly develop a drug and/or vaccine that will stop this virus.  At this point, the reign of COVID-19 will be over.

Finally, and most importantly, we must be prepared to HOPE based on our faith. One of my favorite Bible verses is Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” I have confidence in what we hope for and I especially have confidence in the God we serve to bring about what we hope for.

As I said in the last post, In the next few weeks, you are going to see the very worst and best in humanity, and I implore you to be on the side of good and HOPE. At the current moment, one of the few things that is more of a threat than COVID-19 is a loss of HOPE resulting in fear, anxiety, and depression. In the long run, fear, anxiety and depression will kill tens of millions of more people than COVID-19. Keep HOPE, God bless you, and I love you.

New York Governor Shows his Colors

Listening to this man made me realize why I have no use for Liberals. He was ragging the Stimulus as poor New York not getting more money and then he PRAISED his dear friend Pelosi. What a joke he has shown himself to be. Pelosi jam a bunch of crap in the bill that has nothing to do with this emergency. Maybe he should had the balls to tell Nancy to stop this crap and use the funds for ONLY this emergency not some damn thing to do with Sun Tan Lotion.

She is a first class bitch and yes I used the word but it is so very true. Any and all democrats who followed her into using "WE THE PEOPLES" money in such ways MUST BE REMOVED and 2020 is the time. The saddest thing and I hate to say this but REPUBLICANS may have done the very same thing. I remember what happened when Bush was elected they (Republicans) did the same damn thing, Spent like drunks. Neither party gives a damn about financial responsibility and a BUDGET. I don't think the folks in Washington know how to fix anything. They know how to spend OUR money, PERIOD.  

Shows China Doesn't Care

• Wei first began exhibiting coronavirus symptoms on December 10 and was admitted to the hospital less than a week later, with doctors describing her illness as "very serious" and "ruthless."
• Other vendors from the same market began to check into the hospital soon after. Wei recovered and left the hospital in January.
• But the World Health Organization said it wasn't informed of the coronavirus from its Chinese branch until the end of December, The Wall Street Journal reported.
• A "lot fewer people would have died" in China if the government acted sooner, Wei told The Journal in a February interview.

One of the first coronavirus patients in Wuhan, China, said "a lot fewer people would have died" if the Chinese government took action sooner, she said in a February interview with The Wall Street Journal.

Wei Guixian, a 57-year-old seafood vendor in Wuhan's Hua'nan market, was among the first 27 patients to get infected with the coronavirus, which causes a respiratory disease known as COVID-19.

She first began exhibiting symptoms on December 10 of last year, and was taken to Wuhan Union Hospital for treatment less than a week later. She recalled her doctors describing the illness as "very serious" and "ruthless," according to The Journal and The New York Post.

She remembered her daughters at her bedside in tears, The Journal reported, and her eldest daughter "would touch me every so often, afraid I would pass away," she told the publication.

Other vendors from the same market began to check into the hospital soon after. Wei recovered and left the hospital in January. She said she believes she contracted the disease through a communal toilet shared with other people at the market.

Despite having contracted the disease in mid-December and flagging it to health officials, the World Health Organization first received news of the coronavirus on December 31. Doctors who treated early coronavirus patients were also forced into silence by the Chinese government.

Chinese officials have since banned wet markets — where live and dead animals are sold, often under poor sanitary conditions — and live animal trade following the outbreak. The Chinese government also enacted an unprecedented lockdown on several provinces in the country, impacting tens of millions of residents.

As of March 27, the coronavirus infected more than 597,000 worldwide, and the global death toll has surpassed 27,000. In China, where the coronavirus outbreak originated, there are nearly 82,000 and 3,300 deaths.

Since the outbreak began late last year, the US and Italy have surpassed China in number of cases, with 104,661 people infected and 86,498 people infected respectively.

Joe Scarborough lashed out at conservatives who want Americans to stop self-isolating and return to work amid the ongoing coronovirus pandemic, accusing them of being “ready to euthanize” the elderly.

“Right now, these conservatives are making Democrats who are pro-choice actually look more pro-life because they’re only worried about the unborn,” he said on his MSNBC morning show Thursday. “It is the born — it is the weakest among us, it is senior citizens — who they’re ready to euthanize because they want Boeing’s corporate earnings to not dip too low.”

Scarborough referred to an article in the New York Times that said a lawyer close to President Donald Trump advised him to get the country back to work in spite of the ongoing pandemic because, well, old people die anyway.

In a Tuesday town hall on Fox News, Trump pushed to reopen the country’s businesses and get people out of their homes. He said he hopes to see America “opened up and just raring to go by Easter,” which is April 12. That message has been echoed by some conservative politicians and media figures.

On Thursday, Fox News host Brit Hume said it is “entirely reasonable” that elderly Americans could be fine with dying amid the coronavirus outbreak to save the U.S. economy.

Hume was defending comments made by Texas lieutenant governor Dan Patrick on Tucker Carlson’s program the night before, where the 69-year-old official said, “No one reached out to me and said, ‘As a senior citizen, are you willing to take a chance on your survival in exchange for keeping the America that all America loves for your children and grandchildren?’ And if that’s the exchange, I’m all in.”

Microbiology experts in Spain have said that rapid coronavirus tests that the country bought from China are not consistently detecting positive cases.

The error was discovered as Spain is in the grip of one of the worst coronavirus outbreaks in the world, second only to Italy in the number of reported deaths.

Studies on the tests done in Spain found that they had only 30% sensitivity, meaning they correctly identify people with the virus only 30% of the time, sources told the Spanish newspaper El País.

Those sources told the newspaper that the tests should have a sensitivity of more than 80%. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says rapid tests for influenza are required to have 80% sensitivity.

Rapid tests can get a result in minutes but are generally less accurate than other tests. Numerous companies around the world are producing them.

The studies prompted the Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology to formally recommend not using these tests, El País reported. Health workers are now meant to use other tests that take longer to give a result.

Fernando Simón, the director of Spain's health-emergencies coordination center, said on Thursday that Spain checked 9,000 of the tests, found that their results were not consistent enough, and decided to return them.

Spain's health ministry confirmed the results of the studies into the tests to El País, with a spokesman saying the Carlos III Health Institute, a public-health institute that reports to the government, "detected a sensitivity that does not correspond to what is established in the technical sheet."

The spokesman said that the institute had recalled a shipment of the tests sent to Madrid. New tests approved by the government will be rolled out instead, he said.

The tests were being used in the regions of Andalusia and Galicia, and they were first used in the Madrid region on Wednesday.

Delays from implementing the new test will further harm Spain's efforts to contain the virus, which had killed more than 4,000 people in the country as of early Thursday.

The tests were made by a Chinese biotechnology company called Bioeasy, El País reported. Other countries, including Georgia, have bought the company's tests.

The Chinese Embassy in Spain said on Twitter on Thursday that the medical supplies China was donating to other countries did not include Bioeasy products.

It said that the Chinese Ministry of Commerce gave Spain a list of manufacturers and that Bioeasy was not among them, adding that it had not been given a license from China's National Medical Products Administration to sell its products.

On Monday, Spain said it received 640,000 rapid testing kits from China and South Korea; it is unclear how many were manufactured by Bioeasy.

Medical professionals in the Czech Republic have also said that rapid tests from China were not working properly, but it was not clear whether these tests were also made by Bioeasy.

Spain has been ravaged by the virus outbreak that originated in China at the end of 2019. Spain's cases have climbed to more than 56,000, the fourth-highest in the world, behind China, Italy, and the US.

As the outbreak has slowed in China — which has frequently reported no new daily domestic cases — the country has sent medical workers and donated medical equipment such as masks and tests to other countries.

Not a Surprise from a Country that killed pets and started this

The majority of rapid test coronavirus test kits supplied by China to Spain and the Czech Republic are faulty, local news outlets reported.

Up to 80 percent of the 150,000 portable, quick coronavirus test kits China delivered to the Czech Republic earlier this month were faulty, according to local Czech news site Expats.cz. The tests can produce a result in 10 or 15 minutes but are usually less accurate than other tests. Because of the high error rate, the country will continue to rely on conventional laboratory tests, of which they perform about 900 a day.

The country’s Health Ministry paid $546,000 for 100,000 of the test kits, while the Interior Ministry paid for the other 50,000.

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Jan Hamacek downplayed the discovery that many of the tests were faulty, blaming it on a possible wrong methodology and saying the kits can still be used “when the disease has been around for some time,” or when “someone returns after quarantine after fourteen days.”

“In my opinion, this is not about some scandalous revelation that it is not working,” Hamacek said.

Meanwhile, Spain, which has more than 56,000 infected people and more than 4,000 coronavirus deaths, the second-highest number of fatalities in the world after Italy, found that the rapid coronavirus test kits it purchased from Chinese company Bioeasy only correctly identified 30 percent of virus cases, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais.

The director Spain’s Center for Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón, said Spain tested 9,000 of the test kits and will return them based on their high error rate.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is facing a new sexual assault allegation, from a woman named Tara Reade, who says she has been trying to share her story since 1993 when it allegedly happened. Reade’s allegation comes in the midst of Biden’s surging presidential campaign and is consistent with other stories women have shared about their discomfort with the way Biden has touched them.

Reade was a staff assistant for Joe Biden in 1993, when she claims he digitally raped her. She told part of her story in 2019, when Lucy Flores wrote in The Cut about the inappropriate way Biden smelled her hair and kissed the top of her head. At the time, several other women came forward to say that Biden had touched them in ways that made them uncomfortable, including Reade, who said that Biden used to put his hands on her shoulders and run his fingers up and down her neck. Now, she has detailed what she says is the entirety of her experience with Biden on The Katie Halper Show.

According to Reade, Biden pressed her up against a wall and digitally penetrated her without her consent. “It happened all at once, and then… his hands were on me and underneath my clothes,” she says. She also remembers him asking “do you want to go somewhere else?” and then, when she had pulled away, “Come on, man, I heard you liked me.” Reade says that “everything shattered” in that moment and his claim that he thought she liked him made her feel like she had “done this” somehow. “I looked up to him, he was my father’s age. He was this champion of women’s rights in my eyes,” she says. “I wanted to be a senator; I didn’t want to sleep with one.”

Following her accusations against Biden, reports from Ryan Grim at The Interceptdetailed all the ways Reade was stonewalled in telling her story — including from Time’s Up, the high-profile organization founded to help survivors tell their stories in the midst of the #MeToo movement, which is housed within the National Women’s Law Center. According to Grim’s reporting, Reade asked for help from the organization in January of this year, but she was told they could not help her because it would jeopardize their non-profit status due to the fact that he was a presidential candidate.

“As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the National Women’s Law Center is restricted in how it can spend its funds, including restrictions that pertain to candidates running for election,” NWLC spokesperson, Maria Patrick, told The Intercept. It was also revealed in the same story that “the public relations firm that works on behalf of the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund is SKDKnickerbocker, whose managing director, Anita Dunn, is the top adviser to Biden’s presidential campaign.”

Reade’s accusation has opened up discourse on social media about why the mainstream media is ignoring the story. “I don’t understand why the extremely serious sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden are not getting significant attention outside of left media,” tweeted Vox Senior Correspondent Zack Beauchamp.

There were no witnesses to Reade’s assault, but she told The Intercept that she’d spoken to a close friend, as well as her brother, at the time of the alleged assault, and both have confirmed this with The Intercept. Reade said Thursday morning on Rising on Hill TV Live that she’s waited so long to speak publicly about what happened because she was afraid of retaliation, and also because back then she “didn’t have the framework” to understand what had happened to her.

For All Who Read

I want to take a moment to wish all well who takes the time to read my rantings about what is going on in the world. So many of us are trying to avoid getting sick and many of our elected leaders are playing games. Once this is over, try to find who was telling the truth and not trying to take advantage during this time. Once you find who was, vote them out as they don't care about you or the truth.

This bill has more of a Slush Fund for Nancy them I believed the republicans would allow to pass. I have now advise all of them I will not support or vote for any who sign-up for this bill. We need to start removing anyone who did support it. We the People just got it in the backside and no reach around. Our government and elected officials don't give a damn about us and they ALL need to go. Both side of the Isle need to be removed. Our government was never designed for these people to make it a FULL TIME job.

More will be added if they ever list all the pork and I can find. There is Money for Public Broadcasting, Low income housing, and some Museum. What the hell does any of that have to do with Covid-19?

I need to VENT!!!!!!! Because I'M MAAAAD!! 😡

I just went to Walmart to pick up a few things. I'm waiting in the self-checkout line and I dropped a $20 bill (yep that's me trying to hold everything because I didn't want a cart). The lady in front of me picked it up. I thanked her and held my hand out, and she said, "The things found on earth are kept by the collector," and walks away. 

😡I was like oh heck NO!! I looked at the person behind me standing in line, they couldn't believe it either.... this can't be real life right now, right?!

So I took a deep breath and I turned back towards the lady/thief/or whatever you wanna call her and as I approached her I said, "Do I look like I'm in the mood?! Let's not play games. Go ahead and give me back my money."

She had the nerve to ignore me completely and TRIED to walk away from me... SOOOOO, of course, I left everything and followed her into the parking lot as I was calling the police (because of course somebody's about to go to jail... not sure who at this point though, her or me). She was almost running at this point to get away from me, which was the first sign of real intelligence 💡 this lady had shown. 😂 When she got to her car she put her bags on the ground trying to quickly get her trunk open.

I was boiling at this point! I decided that her “finders keepers" rule just presented the perfect opportunity for a great teachable moment... SO... I went into track star mode and ran full speed, and grabbed her grocery bags, and headed to my car yelling, "The things found on earth are kept by the collector!" 

I hopped in my car ignoring her every attempt to get my attention. I was outta line I'll admit, but she was too. I was HOT, but I had a sense of satisfaction at the same time. Lemme say this, anyone who knows me knows that as an adult I've never stolen anything so this is completely out of character for me. But anyway I get home and open the bags and what did I find?

3 pounds of wild caught salmon

2 pounds of Vegetables 

Everything to make a bomb salad 

And...

A bottle of Wine

Not My Favorite but Showed She Has some BALLS

As any Republican who has been disappointed by her knows, it is rare to have Maine Sen. Susan Collins go hard against the Democrats.

But on Tuesday, the moderate, quasi-leftist Republican was breathing fire against her Democratic Senate colleagues.

It marked two days in a row that the Senate Democrats, led by Minority Leader Charles Schumer, blocked coronavirus stimulus packages from advancing.

When Collins asked to speak Tuesday, Schumer objected, which prompted Collins to walk up to him with a pointed finger and say, “You are objecting to my speaking? This is appalling!”

Senate chamber boils over.

- Sen. Collins asked to speak, Schumer objected.
- Sen. Cotton shouted, "C'mon", "This is bullshit!"
- Collins walked thru her row to Schumer - stood a foot or so away, finger pointed, exclaimed, "you are objecting to my speaking? This is appalling!"

When Collins got to the floor of the chamber and had her chance to speak, she torched the Democrats.

According to a source close to the process on Capitol Hill, in order to move forward with any kind of relief package, Pelosi and her far-left Democrat caucus will demand the following be included: 

-Publication of corporate pay statistics by race and race statistics for all corporate boards

-A bail out on all current debt at the Postal Service

-Required early voting

-Required same day voter registration 

-Provisions on official time for union collective bargaining

-Full offset of airline emissions by 2025

-Publication and reporting of greenhouse gas statistics for individual flights 

-Retirement plans for community newspaper employees

-Federal $15 minimum wage

-Permanent paid leave

-Study on climate change mitigation efforts 

The provisions will apply to the companies and business rescued by the bill.
