Calif. Bans State Travel to Fla., 4 Other States Over LGBTQ Laws

California added five more states, including Florida, to the list of places where state-funded travel is banned because of laws that discriminate against members of the LGBTQ community, the state attorney general announced Monday.

Democratic Attorney General Rob Bonta added Florida, Arkansas, Montana, North Dakota and West Virginia to the list that now has 17 states where state employee travel is forbidden except under limited circumstances.

“Make no mistake: We’re in the midst of an unprecedented wave of bigotry and discrimination in this country — and the state of California is not going to support it,” Bonta said. Lawmakers in 2016 banned non-essential travel to states with laws that discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. The 12 other states on the list are: Texas, Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas, Mississippi, Tennessee.

The five states newly added to the list have introduced bills in their legislatures this year that prevent transgender women and girls from participating in school sports consistent with their gender identity, block access to health care and allow the discrimination of the LGBTQ community, Bonta said.

Florida, Montana, Arkansas, and West Virginia passed laws that prevent transgender women and girls from participating in school sports consistent with their gender identity.

North Dakota signed into law a bill allowing certain publicly-funded student organizations to restrict LGBTQ students from joining without losing funding.

Arkansas passed the first law in the nation to prohibit physicians from providing gender-affirming healthcare to transgender minors — regardless of the wishes of parents or whether a physician deems such care to be medically necessary.

These lawmakers “would rather demonize trans youth than focus on solving real issues like tackling gun violence beating back this pandemic and rebuilding our economy,” Bonta said.

The state law has exemptions for some trips, such as travel needed to enforce California law and to honor contracts signed before the states were added to the list. Travel to conferences or out-of-state training are examples of trips that can be blocked.

It’s unclear what effect California’s travel ban will have. Bonta did not have information about how many state agencies have stopped sending state employees to the states on the list or the financial impact of California's travel ban on those states.

Biden’s creepy whispering at the press is disturbing. Did we mention creepy?

In fact, the president did this multiple times.

He started whispering the first time after being asked about the Americans who, for some inexplicable reason, are still waiting for relief (FYI, the pandemic is over).

“I got them $1.9 trillion in relief so far. They’re going to be getting checks in the mail that are consequential this week for childcare,” he whispered in response.He started whispering again later while addressing the complaints from partisan Democrats who oppose the infrastructure deal he’d reached earlier that afternoon with a bipartisan group of senators.

One of these partisans is Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, who fired a warning shot earlier that day saying that he won’t vote for the deal unless it’s paired with a larger bill that addresses key Democrat demands, as reported by The Hill. One of these demands is reportedly for more investments in environmental projects.

Biden didn’t care for this pushback, and to convey this point, he suddenly broke into a whisper again.

“I wrote the bill on the environment. Why would I not be for it?” he whispered.

He started whispering a third time while addressing the factually accurate observation that the government’s overgenerous unemployment benefits have disincentivized work, thus leaving small businesses unable to find employees.

“Pay them more. This is an employee’s bargaining chip now,” he whispered.

Employers have been offering exorbitant pay and benefits, but it’s still not working because most people would, naturally, rather get paid average to do nothing than get paid a bunch to do something.

The whispering also caught the attention of Dan Bongino. Speaking on Fox News’ “Hannity,” he described the whispering as “creepy.”

“Yeah, I mean, can you really believe this guy’s the president of the United States? We have Rev. Kane from Poltergeist 2 who’s the president. Remember that guy? ‘He’s your mommy.’ Remember that? What’s with the creepy whispering? Is this one of those asthma things? What is he doing? It’s so creepy. Like you watch it and you want to cringe, you don’t know if you should turn it off or turn it up,” he said.

That being said, visually speaking, it seems like Biden most closely resembles Jack Nicholson’s character in the 1980 horror film “The Shining.” The thing about the president’s “creepy” behavior is that it’s essentially a norm for him.

Just last month, he practically flirted with a 7-year-old by praising her for looking “like she’s 19 years old, sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed.”

Days before that “creepy” fiasco, he drew criticism for the “creepy” way in which he described his meeting with deceased Minneapolis criminal suspect George Floyd’s 7-year-old daughter Gianna.

“The first thing she did when she ran in, she just threw her arms around me, gave me a big hug and wanted to sit in my lap,” he told members of the press.

“And we spent … she also loved the idea that … she said, ‘I’m really hungry.’ She said, ‘Do you have any snacks?’” he added.

A reporter then asked, “What did you give her?”

“Well, my wife would kill me. We gave her some ice cream, she had some Cheetos and I think she had some chocolate milk. I’m not sure,” the president replied.

 The description spawned accusations that he was being “creepy” again. Prior to being elected president, Biden repeatedly made “creepy” remarks that far too often involved children.

For instance, in a 2017 video clip that resurfaced during the 2020 presidential election, he could be seen and heard talking about how he’d “loved kids jumping” on his “lap” when he’d worked as a lifeguard in his younger days and describing how kids would “come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down.”

After watching a traditional Haitian dance at the Little Haiti Cultural Center in Miami last year, he told a group of teen girls that he planned to come back “to see them dancing when they’re four years older.”

A year earlier, after a 10-yer-old girl asked him a question, he got up close to her, massaged her shoulders and said, “I’m going to write you a longer answer and tell you the exact things I would do, okay? I’ll bet you’re as bright as you are good-looking.”

It’s not clear what in the world compels him to act this way.

“Today’s Department of Defense appears to be distracted from its national defense mission,” Mike Berry noted in a June 19 analysis for the Washington Examiner. “Media commentators and service members alike have lamented the military’s drift toward becoming a testing ground for social policy experimentation.”

The Biden government, Berry noted, is now monitoring the social media activity of military personnel “in order to ensure service members don’t post, share, or like something ‘extreme.’ If this sounds eerily familiar, it’s because China has been doing it for years.”

That the Pentagon has fully embraced “wokeism” should “alarm everyone,” wrote Berry, who is general counsel at First Liberty Institute and a former active duty U.S. Marine Corps officer.

Joe Biden “recently declared that white supremacy poses the greatest threat to America’s national security,” Berry noted. “Instead of monitoring external threats, the Pentagon is on a mission to identify and remove whomever it labels as extremists from America’s armed forces. Ironically, the CEWG has yet to define what it means by ‘extremism.’ Extremism is usually defined as the threat or use of violence to achieve an ideological agenda. But the Pentagon is now poised to expand upon that definition to include constitutionally protected speech.”

What the Pentagon should be doing, Berry noted, is reinforcing the nation’s “young men and women what makes America exceptional. The values that drove me to join the Marine Corps many years ago were love of country, pride in service, and respect for selfless service and sacrifice. Those are the timeless principles upon which America was built. Or so I thought. Sadly, adherence to those principles is more likely to get me and others labeled as extremists and kicked out of today’s military.”

Several years ago, Berry added, the Department of Defense produced a document that labeled those who believe in “states’ rights, individual liberties, and how to make the world a better place” as potential extremists.

“Apparently, I was mistaken for thinking those were the things I was defending as a Marine,” Berry wrote. “And despite data showing that religious people are the most likely to serve, we are now declaring them undesirable extremists.”

Team Biden’s transformation of the U.S. military into a bunch of “wokeness warriors” is “a recipe for disaster,” Berry wrote. “America has real enemies who seek to harm us, and those enemies are likely giddy with every woke pronouncement that America will continue to pour yet more valuable time, energy, and resources into its cold civil war.”

Slave Stories History 'Forgot.' Black People Owned Slaves Too - The Truth Hurts Sometime But will Set You Free

Justus Angel and Mistress L. Horry were wealthy landowners in South Carolina’s Colleton District in the 1830s, in what is now Charleston County. The couple owned 84 slaves each for a total of 168, at a time when most of their peers owned a handful. Their slaves worked their plantation and made them rich. Angel and Horry also traded slaves for profit, showing no regard for dissolving slave families. They were no kinder or crueler to their slaves than anyone else. They were considered “slave magnates” because of the number of slaves they owned. They were referred to as the “economic elite.” They were also black.

 

Black people owned black people in all 13 original colonies and in every state that allowed slavery. Frequently, freed black people would go on to own more slaves than their white neighbors. In 1830, nearly a fourth of the free black slave masters in South Carolina owned 10 or more slaves, and several owned more than 30, far surpassing their white slave-owning neighbors.

Yes, black people, frequently former slaves themselves, owned slaves. While it can be said that many black people owned family members to protect them and keep them close, black slave owners also bought and sold slaves for profit. Renowned African-American historian and Duke University Professor, John Hope Franklin, wrote “The majority of Negro owners of slaves had some personal interest in their property. There were instances, however, in which free Negroes had a real economic interest in the institution of slavery and held slaves in order to improve their economic status.” Franklin also wrote that roughly 3,000  free black people in New Orleans alone owned slaves.

Dilsey Pope of Columbus, Georgia, a black woman born free, purchased the man she loved in order to marry him. After a particularly bad fight, Pope, in a move that would impress Lorena Bobbitt, sold her husband to a white slave owner. They soon reconciled but the white man refused to sell her husband back.

Freed slave Nathaniel Butler owned land outside of Aberdeen, Maryland. The land made him some money, but his real cheddar came from tricking run-away slaves into believing his home, a mere 20 miles from the Mason-Dixon line, was a slave sanctuary. He would hide slaves long enough to find out who owned them and more importantly, what was the reward for their return. If the price was right Butler returned them. If the reward was low, he would buy them and resell them for a profit. Butler was considered cruel by other slave traders and white slave owners. Butler was so hated that slave tried unsuccessfully to kill him on several occasions.

William Ellison was born into slavery in 1790. His mother birthing person was a slave and his father was a white slave owner. His father decided to teach Ellison a trade and thus he became a cotton gin maker. He earned enough money to buy his freedom and that of his wife. Soon he would buy the freedom of his kids. He realized owning slaves was the way to wealth and began to buy some. He became one of the largest slave owners in South Carolina, one of the wealthiest, and one of the worst. Ellison not only owned slaves he also bred them, which was illegal in some states. He sold most of the females but kept a few for future “breeding.” Ellison was harsh. He kept his slaves hungry and poorly clothed. He even had a windowless shack built to chain up slaves who misbehaved.

Why don’t history teachers include this in their curriculum? You know why! How can they demonize white people and divide us racially and if they taught the truth? What reason would they have for teaching the commie Critical Race Theory? How can black people demand reparations if you know thousands of black people owned slaves as well? How can they propagate the myth of “systemic racism” if we were all just allowed to get along?

Remember, it’s no longer about equality in our country, it’s now about equity. YOU need to pay for what other white, and black, people stopped doing over 155 years ago.

Checking out at the store, the young cashier suggested to the much older lady that she should bring her own grocery bags, because plastic bags are not good for the environment.

The woman apologized to the young girl and explained, "We didn't have this 'green thing' back in my earlier days."

The young clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment for future generations."

The older lady said that she was right -- our generation didn't have the "green thing" in its day. The older lady went on to explain:

Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled. But we didn't have the "green thing" back in our day.

Grocery stores bagged our groceries in brown paper bags that we reused for numerous things. Most memorable besides household garbage bags was the use of brown paper bags as book covers for our school books. This was to ensure that public property (the books provided for our use by the school) was not defaced by our scribblings. Then we were able to personalize our books on the brown paper bags. But, too bad we didn't do the "green thing" back then.

We walked up stairs because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.

But she was right. We didn't have the "green thing" in our day.

Back then we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throw away kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy-gobbling machine burning up 220 volts. Wind and solar power really did dry our clothes back in our early days. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing.

But that young lady is right; we didn't have the "green thing" back in our day.

Back then we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a screen the size of the state of Montana. In the kitchen we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us. When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used wadded up old newspapers to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

But she's right; we didn't have the "green thing" back then.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blade in a r azor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

But we didn't have the "green thing" back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service in the family's $45,000 SUV or van, which cost what a whole house did before the"green thing." We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 23,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest burger joint.

But isn't it sad the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn't have the "green thing" back then?

Even Fox News is Dishonest to the People of America

Fox 26 Houston general assignment reporter Ivory Hecker said Tuesday that she has been fired after interrupting a live on-air report to accuse her employers of “muzzling” her.

Hecker went viral on Monday when she began a live report about the weather by revealing that she provided secret recordings to right-wing activist group Project Veritas supposedly proving corruption and censorship at her station.

“Before we get to that story, I want to let you, the viewers, know that Fox Corp. has been muzzling me to keep certain information from you, the viewers,” Hecker said during the Monday on-air report. “And from what I’m gathering, I am not the only reporter being subjected to this.”

Earlier Tuesday, in a phone call recording provided to Project Veritas, Hecker was informed of her suspension from Fox 26, “effective immediately.” And in a phone call with The Daily Beast on Tuesday afternoon, she said that she had just been terminated by the Fox outlet.

Reporter Says Live On Air That Fox Corp. Is ‘Muzzling’ Her, Proceeds With Weather Report

“I have been longing to part ways with this strange, slightly unhinged corporation since last August when I realized what they were,” she said. “The piece with Project Veritas doesn’t touch what they did. Fox 26 knows I’m fearless.” She added: “I have zero interest in working for another corporation. They all toe the same line.”

Hecker even took a jab at the flagship network of her former employer’s parent company: “I would turn down Fox News. They wanted to bring me up to the network. I met a lot of executives there and I don’t want to talk to them anymore. It came from one of the top executives there that what I needed to succeed was to get in line with the narrative.”

Shortly after she made her on-air revelation on Monday evening, Project Veritas—best known for its “sting” operations against media outlets and liberal political groups—confirmed that they had interviewed Hecker and that her story would be published on Tuesday evening. According to the James O’Keefe-led organization, their story will include a number of undercover audio and video recordings that were taken by Hecker.

Obama confirms the pandemic was used as an un-American experiment…climate change next.

Barack Obama admitted the Marxist weaponization of the scamdemic in a recent interview with his communist buddy Ezra Klein at the New York Times. Barack Obama said “there are times when that’s presented — [a crisis] — I think you try to drive it home as much as possible and get a reorientation of the body politic.” 

We the people are the body politic and Obama views the pandemic as a “teachable moment” — his words — to fundamentally transform the way we the people view our relationship with our government — from citizen master to citizen slave.

The Fauci emails also prove it.

In one of Fauci’s most revealing emails, Fauci admitted in private to the Dean of a medical school that “the typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material.” Despite this damning admission, Fauci, Democrats, and others have mandated that Americans wear ineffective masks.

Fauci also wrote “I do not recommend that you wear a mask to travel by air.” Despite this private admission, taxpayer funded airline companies have long mandated masks, kicking off countless Americans — excepting John Kerry — when their toddlers and infants committed the crime of breathing in oxygen or eating without a mask — a mask that never worked. Masks were never about promoting safety. They were always about promoting servitude — a virtue signaling symbol of subservience.

In the communist state of California — where I live —outdoor dining at restaurants was banned while outdoor seating was set up on streets by city Governments. Patrons were encouraged to order their food ‘to go’ from these very restaurants and eat their food at the government sanctioned outdoor dining tables — sans supervision. 

According to these Government idiots and Marxists, outdoor dining at restaurants was dangerous and forbidden but outdoor dining a block away was safe and encouraged.

But even as the “COVID” act comes to an inevitable end, a new act is already waiting in the wings to replace it — climate change. The purpose of this new act is the same. Barack Obama let the cat out of the bag in his interview with Ezra Klein.

“One thing that the pandemic has done is to start getting people to think in scale,” Obama told Ezra Klein. “You can actually put a dollar figure to what it would take to transition to a clean economy.”

Like the scamdemic, in which “we the people” were repeatedly told the sacrifice of our life, liberty, and unalienable Rights were necessary to save lives, Obama admits that “there are some sacrifices involved” in transitioning to a clean economy. 

Once again the sacrifice of our unalienable Rights will be demanded; only this time to save mankind and the planet. Once again the Marxist politicians will make no sacrifices — because they know man made climate change is a farce; another weapon to fundamentally transform America from a free nation to a Marxist utopian slave nation.

Marxists like Bernie Sanders will continue to fly private and demand hotel staffs keep the temperature of his room at a constant 60 degrees. Barack Obama will continue to live fearlessly in his mansion by the sea, despite warning us of the imminent rising tides. 

This July 4th is special. While the occasion we are celebrating took place 245 years ago, Americans have never been less free, and our inheritance so depleted. In fact, the level of tyranny we are experiencing today is far greater than that experienced by the colonists in the 18th century in America.

While celebration should be in order, so too should sober reflection.

BEIJING (AP) — Beijing has denounced a U.S. bill aimed at boosting U.S. technology to improve American competitiveness, calling it a thinly veiled attack (ABOUT TIME) on China’s political system and an attempt to hinder its development.

The Foreign Affairs Committee of China’s ceremonial legislature, the National People’s Congress, issued a scathing statement on Wednesday expressing its “strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition” (WHO CARES WHAT WHAT THEY THINK) to the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act.” The bill passed with overwhelming bipartisan support in the Senate on Tuesday.

“This bill seeks to exaggerate and spread the so-called ‘China threat' to maintain global American hegemony, using human rights and religion as excuses to interfere in China's domestic politics, and deprive China of its legitimate development rights," the statement said. THE ONLY DEVELOPMENT RIGHT THEY HAVE IS WHAT THEY CAN STEAL!!!

“No force should expect that China will swallow any bitter fruit that harms China's sovereignty, security or development interests," it said. It echoed language used by President Xi Jinping, who has adopted an aggressive foreign policy that responds harshly to any perceived attacks on China's reputation. The statement also attacked provisions of the bill expressing support for Taiwan (ABOUT TIME AMERICA GOT SOME BALLS), the self-governing island democracy that China claims as its own territory; references to Hong Kong, where Beijing is accused of rolling back democracy; and criticism of Chinese policy in the northwestern territory of Xinjiang, the site of mass detentions of minority Muslim groups.

Those and related issues are “purely China's internal affairs and absolutely no foreign interference will be tolerated," the statement said.

At a daily briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said China-related content in the bill was “full of Cold War zero-sum thinking “ which “distorts the facts (and) smears China’s development path and domestic and foreign policies." THEY HAVE NO DEVELOPMENT OTHER THAN STEALING"

China has enacted various policy blueprints intended to enhance its own competitiveness and build its prowess (THROUGH STEALING & REVERSE ENGINEERING) in advanced technologies. Such plans tend to be focused entirely on the economy and business, areas where the ruling Communist Party and government play a huge role.

The 68-32 Senate vote demonstrated how confronting China is a rate issue that can unite both parties in Congress at a time of intense partisan division.

But Senators have sought to call attention to China’s growing influence without stoking anti-Asian rhetoric at a time of rising hate crimes against Asian Americans. HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING ASIAN, THEY ARE GREAT PEOPLES FROM VARIOUS COUNTRIES, NOT RED CHINA 

The centerpiece of the bill is a $50 billion emergency allotment to the Commerce Department to support semiconductor development and manufacturing through research and incentive programs previously authorized by Congress. The bill’s overall cost would increase spending by about $250 billion, with most of the outlays in the first five years.

Other parts of the bill spell out national security concerns and target money-laundering schemes or cyberattacks by entities on behalf of the Chinese government. There are also “buy America” provisions for infrastructure projects in the U.S.

Some provisions reflect concerns over China's handling of the pandemic. One would prevent (SHOULD STOP) providing federal money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology as investigations proceed into the origins of the virus and suspected connections to the lab’s research. Cases of the virus were first recorded in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, but China has rejected any links between the outbreak and the institute.

It’s unclear whether the measure will find support in the Democratic-led House, where the Science Committee is expected to soon consider that chamber’s version. THOSE WHO DON'T VOTE FOR THIS NEED TO BE REMOVED AND SHOW HOW UN-AMERICAN THEY ARE AND ARE THEY GETTING MONEY FROM CHINA???

From children's schools to the Government. It is everywhere and is now threatening to end freedom of speech and thought. It has become impossible to speak out without fear of career-death and possible physical harm.

A New York mother who took a local school board to task during a recent fiery speech in which she railed at members over the school district’s “poisoning” of students’ minds with ‘woke’ and racist curriculum has gone viral online.

 

The woman, who is allegedly from Carmel, N.Y. and whose first name is Tatiana, begins by informing board members it is her first time addressing them before explaining why she is objecting to the school district’s budget.

 

“I think the Board of Education and those sitting on the panels are thieves. I think they’re liars and have committed treason against our children,” she began, adding that her “message” to the board is this: “Stop indoctrinating our children. Stop teaching our children to hate the police. Stop teaching our children that if they don’t agree with the LGBTQ community that they’re homophobic.”

 

As she went on, she said she was Christian while her children were Muslim before dropping someone’s name, presumably that of a teacher, at which point a board member scolded her and said she was not permitted to do that.

 

“Why am I not allowed to use names?” the mother responded, suggesting that the person she mentioned “purposely, themselves, exposed themselves on social media, talking about calling for the death of a former president? Or saying that any child that doesn’t believe in Black Lives Matter should be canceled out?”

 

“These educators put their own names out there,” the mother continued as she dropped a few more names — presumably of teachers — before accusing the school board of “creating a curriculum of Black Panther indoctrination.”

 

At that, board members tried interrupting again, but the mother persisted and said she could prove what she was saying about the teachers.

 

“Is that what scares you, the proof? Why can’t we let the public know that you’re teaching our children to go out and murder our police officers?” she said.

 

“Do you want the proof? I have the proof,” the mother continued, holding up several sheets of paper. “You work for me. I don’t work for you. You have a duty, we are entrusting our children to you.”

 

She went on to say that parents try to raise their children with certain values and morals, but that some will grow up to commit heinous crimes through no fault of their family.

 

“You’re emotionally abusing our children and mentally abusing them,” the mother continued angrily. “You’re demoralizing them by teaching them Communist values! This is still America, ma’am.”

 

She went on to tell board members that they would likely see her in the future because she’s retired and has the time to focus on the issues she is upset about.

“We can do it peacefully, or we can take it to the highest court, because you know and I know I’m not the only parent fighting this,” she continued. “All across America right now, schools are trying to poison our children’s minds. Teaching them things that have no right to be taught in school.”

 

A female board member then spoke up, saying that while she didn’t have a problem “having a peaceful discussion” with the mother, she did not feel like that was the case.

 

“This is not a peaceful discussion,” the board member, Michelle Yorio, insisted.

 

“No, that’s your opinion, see, here we go again,” the mother shot back. “This is peaceful. To me, this is peaceful. I’m not burning, looting, and murdering. This is peaceful.”

 

“I did not accuse you of that,” Yorio responded.

 

The mother ignored the board member’s concern and went on to criticize anti-police curriculum that she said made many kids uncomfortable because most of them are children of police officers.

 

Later, she ripped board members for permitting teachers to ask students who they supported during the presidential election.

 

“Why? Why did you ask students who they voted for? What did it matter?” she said, to silence from the board members.

 

“No answers, huh? You have no answers for me.”
