Columbine Student's father 12 years later

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness...

The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

> You've stripped away our heritage,
> You've outlawed simple prayer.
> Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
> And precious children die
> You seek for answers everywhere,
> And ask the question "Why?"
> You regulate restrictive laws,

> And yet you fail to understand,
> That God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties� We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.�

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge...Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!�

What the hell is wrong with thinking about placing a colony on the Moon? Most of you are to young to remember John Kennedy telling America we were going to the Moon. Russia had passed us in launching first and President Kennedy knew our great country not only could surpass Russia in the space race but place Americans on the moon first and we did.

Maybe America needs someone like Newt to have grand ideas as right now as we have none due to the over spending and over reaching of the federal government. With the money our government pisses away on waste and fraud could get the space program back on its feet. The information below is disgusting as all the while our economy has shrunk the number of federal employees has grown. WHY? We could have used those funds for the space program and not more freeloading government workers.

The era of big government has returned with a vengeance, in the form of the largest federal work force in modern history. The Obama administration says the government will grow to 2.15 million employees this year, topping 2 million for the first time since President Clinton declared that “the era of big government is over” and joined forces with a Republican-led Congress in the 1990s to pare back the federal work force. Most of the increases are on the civilian side, which will grow by 153,000 workers, to 1.43 million people, in fiscal 2010.

How in the hell does the King justify hiring more workers while our government is killing our future? If they are going to bury us in debt, I'd rather have it spent on something that can produce new science and products that came from the Mercury, Apollo, and all the space programs since.

If the spending doesn't stop, we will be come a third rate country as we have already become a second rate one under this clown.

How many of us have had enough of the lies, backstabbing, pure nasty comments and totally dishonest bitching of the Two Leading Republican Candidates? At this point I would rather vote for Rick and tell Newt and Mitt to take a hike. Both of them are guilty of dishonest statements about the other and aren't we trying to WIN the White House?

Stop the damn attacks now or you two clowns are going to hand it back to the one man who is trying to destroy our way of life. He has no intention of bringing America back to where it once was. He stated before he was going to change America and no one listened. We better start listening now as he is not done and will finish taking our freedoms if the republicans don't stop this crap.

The people of this country are tired of this type of election business and yet we hear how negative helps win elections. What the hell is wrong with the American people that all they want is dirt cast about instead of facts as to what has been going on and solutions on how they plan to fix this mess. Remember both parties got us here and 'WE THE PEOPLE " voted these people in. Isn't it about time to stop the lies and fix this country?

Obama is not going to do what has to be done nor will the Senate or Congress as all they do is protect their turf. Very few congressman have the courage to say no to raising the budget but they give us a lot of lip service. Until congress has the courage to shut down the government and take the heat, nothing will change. Congress has to be willing to be there only one term as doing the right thing will cost and none are willing to pay the price.

you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a

$100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? It's in

the health care bill and goes into effect in 2013.

Why 2013? Could it be to come to light

AFTER the 2012 elections? So, this is "change you can

believe in"? Under the new health care bill all real estate

transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax.

If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a

$15,200 tax.

This bill is set to screw the retiring generation

who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November

and 2012 vote more important?

Oh, you weren't aware this was in the

Obamacare bill? Guess what, you aren't alone.

Yep I am referring to King Obama and the crap he does. Once more he is showing us how much he hates this country as he killed the PIPELINE that would have not only added jobs building the pipeline but manufacturing also. If I was Canada, I'd tell Obama and the united States to kiss off and build the line west. Canada could than sell it to Asia and we could then buy oil from Asia. Makes a lot of sense since we already borrow money from China and then send it back for this program or that. This just shows how f--ing stupid OUR elected leaders are. Remember folks, YOU voted them in.

If any of this is going to change, VOTE THEM OUT. We have all heard that the democrats are going to use "Blame the do Nothing Congress" during the election. Let them and we should help as the democratic controlled Senate has done nothing. There must be over 30+ bills the House has passed but Prince Harry will not bring any to the floor for discussion. This gutless wimp must be afraid of letting any in his party discuss anything as some bills may pass.

Maybe the next time the government faces a shutdown because some do not want to raise the budget, SHUT THE DAMN PLACE DOWN until the spending stops.

I don't support Ron Paul as I think his load is light on some matters but I do agree we need to cut a Trillion NOW. Close departments, fire some where there are to many workers. How and why do we need so many government employees? This has become one of the most screwed up countries because of our government and at what point do the people say enough? It will reach that point probably after I am gone as my father predicted over 40 years ago. Government taking our freedoms, taking our money for their pet projects, giving our money to other countries over the objections of the voters and dictating to us how to live our lives.

When enough realize freedom is gone, fighting and riots will start along with the end of a once great country because government grew to arrogant to understand THEY WORK FOR US. Government needs to fear us and right now they do not.

I hadn't thought about this - but where are

Obama's past girlfriends - surely he had at least one? No

past girl friends popping up anywhere? Strange - strange

to the point of being downright weird!

OK, this is just plain old common sense, no political

agendas for either side. Just common knowledge for

citizens of a country, especially American citizens,

who know every little tidbit about every other president

and their wives) that even know that Andrew Jackson's wife

smoked a corn cob pipe and was accused of adultery, or

that Lincoln never went to school or Kennedy wore a back

brace, or Truman played the piano.

We are Americans! Our media vets these things out! We are

known for our humanitarian interests and caring for our

'fellow man.' We care, but none of us know one single

humanizing fact about the history of our own president.

Honestly, and this is a personal thing... but it's bugged

me for years that no one who ever dated him ever showed up.

Taken his charisma, which caused the women to be drawn to

him so obviously during his campaign, looks like some lady

would not have missed the opportunity.

We all know about JFK's magnetism, McCain was no monk,

Palin's courtship and even her athletic prowess were

probed. Biden's aneurisms are no secret. Look at Cheney

and Clinton-we all know about their heart problems. How

could I have left out Wild Bill before or during the White

House?

Nope... not one lady has stepped up and said, "He was

soooo shy," or "What a great dancer!" Now look at the

rest of what we know... no classmates, not even the

recorder for the Columbia class notes ever heard of him.

Who was the best man at his wedding? Start there. Check

for groomsmen. Then get the footage of the graduation ceremony.

Has anyone talked to the professors? Isn't it odd that

no one is bragging that they knew him or taught him or

lived with him.

When did he meet Michele and how? Are there photos?

Every president provides the public with all their photos,

etc. for their library. What has he released? Nada –

other than what was in this so-called biography! And

experts who study writing styles etc. claim it was not

O's own words or typical of his speech patterns, etc.

Does this make any of you wonder?

Ever wonder why no one ever came forward from Obama's

past, saying they knew him, attended school with him,

was his friend, etc? Not one person has ever come

forward from his past.

This should really be a cause for great concern.

Did you see the movie titled, The Manchurian Candidate?

Let's face it. As insignificant as we all are...

someone whom we went to school with remembers our name or

face... someone remembers we were the clown or the dork

or the brain or the quiet one or the bully or something

about us.

George Stephanopoulos, ABC News said the same thing during

the 2008 campaign. Even George questions why no one has

acknowledged that the president was in their classroom or

ate in the same cafeteria or made impromptu speeches on campus.

Stephanopoulos was a classmate of Obama at Columbia-class of

1984. He says he never had a single class with him. Since he

is such a great orator, why doesn't anyone in Obama's college

class remember him? And, why won't he allow Columbia

to release his records? Do you like millions of others, simply

assume all this is explainable - even though no one can?

NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA

Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400

Columbia University students from the period when Obama

claims to have been there, but not one remembers him. For

example, Wayne Allyn Root was (like Obama) a political science

major at Columbia , who graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says

of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew

him, and they all know me.

I don't have a single classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia ... EVER!

Nobody recalls him.

Root adds that he was, "Class of '83 political science,

pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than

that.. Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever

met him."

At our 20th class reunion five years ago, who was asked to

be the speaker of the class? Me. No one ever heard of Barack!

And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who

writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New

York , 'the macha' who knows everybody, has yet to find a person,

a human who ever met him."

Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook,

and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his

years at Columbia , provide school records, or provide the name

of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia .

How can this be?

NOTE: Wayne Allyn Root can easily be verified. He graduated

valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School,

then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political

Science major in the same '83 class in which Barack Hussein

Obama states he was.

Why was Obama's law license inactivated in 2002?

Why was Michelle's law license inactivated by court order?

According to the U.S. Census, there is only one Barack Obama

- but 27 Social Security numbers and over 80 aliases..

WHAT!?

The Social Security number he uses now originated in Connecticut

where he is never reported to have lived.

No wonder all his records are sealed!

had to know him in school... before he "reorganized" Chicago and

Newt called Mitt a liar, so what. Watching Mitt claim he can not stop the nasty ads from a PAC is a big lie. I watched him claim he could do nothing and I thought he was a liar. Now watching "The Five" on Fox and Bobby saying how bad it is to call someone a liar. Sorry Bob, we need folks in politics to use the word more often. To allow our elected leaders to lie and not be called one is disgusting. If I remember correctly, while growing up we were taught not to lie and when we did we were called "LIARS". Has something changed as we got older or did we forget what a liar is.

Talking heads be it on TV or the different parties say "They Misspoke" or some dribble like that. What has happened to just saying this person or that person lied? When the representative shouted out Liar while Obama was speaking was not good. He should have waited and called him a Liar after the speech. It is refreshing that Newt had the courage to say so and as a moderate/conservative voter, Mitt did lie and should be called a liar.

As far as Paul, I agree with smaller government, closing some government offices and stop the waste. Remember Bush II and campaign promise to do away with the Dept. of Education? He was going to send it back to the states as they know what is best for their districts. Loans to people who could not afford to make the payments, fraudulent loans papers, protesters at banks forcing bad loans, protesters at bank employee homes, and threats to others. Everyday we have to listen to this liar speak and it makes me want to puke as he has no idea what the truth is.

Our country was founded to rid ourselves of a King but now we have King Obama. This clown would love to turn our country into a socialists/communists country if he could and on his way. Over forty years ago my father a veteran of WW2 and Korea told me to be ready for another revolution as we were losing our freedoms. At that time I told him he was wrong and I now agree with him. What is the difference between the Tea Party and the Occupy protesters? It is something called class which the protesters will never be able to understand. If anyone watches the Tonight Show and has seen Jaywalking, knows what they (protesters) are to stupid to understand what they are protesting for. So many of the people are not able to express themselves as to what they want except "free housing, free college education, jobs they don't have to be qualified for (like Obama) jobs, and everything else the government can GIVE them. From what I have seen on the net, there have been rapes, drug usage, public defection/urination (what class), robbery, and more. Why would anyone except some more losers listen of follow this group. Obama and Pelosi praised them as true Americans speaking their minds. I am for free speech but not law breakers and they should be dealt with. In Oakland, CA you have a candy ass mayor who allowed law breaking and supported this mob. That is not surprising as most people believe California is another country anyway.

The protesters need to stand in front of the White House along with Freddie and Fannie as that is where our trouble started and then spread to wall street. Where was the government oversight and that means BOTH parties? Our elected officials turned a blind eye on how Fannie/Freddie operated and what was going on that allowed the garbage to move on Wall Street.

Given stimulus money each American could have received $2,000,000 each every man woman and child and still have had money left over.

With just the stimulus package, Americans could have paid off their mortgage, any debt, started a business, hired people, travelled, etc.

That would have really stimulated the economy. All of this basically would not be economically feasible but maybe...... At least every single American could have psssss the money away better than our own government or maybe they would have done better at creating jobs, paying for health care, recover some of what they might of lost when stock market caused everyone's 401K, and other "savings/investment" accounts due to "housing bubble".

We watched high school principal Dennis Prager of Colorado , along with
Sara Palin and Tom Brokaw on TV a couple of weeks ago....what a

A Speech Every American High School Principal Should Give.

I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our
school. I am making these changes because I am convinced that most of
the ideas that have dominated public education in America have worked
against you, against your teachers and against our country.

First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity. I could not
care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red, yellow or white.
I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin American,
Asian or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower
or on slave ships. The only identity I care about, the only one this
school will recognize, is your individual identity -- your character,
your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this
school will care about is American.

This is an American public school, and American public schools were
created to make better Americans. If you wish to affirm an ethnic,
racial or religious identity through school, you will have to go
elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity, race and non-American
nationality-based celebrations. They undermine the motto of America ,
one of its three central values -- e pluribus Unum, "from many, one."
And this school will be guided by America 's values. This includes all
after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students

country of immigrants has always come to be one country.. And if you
leave this school without excellent English language skills, I would be
remiss in my duty to ensure that you will be prepared to successfully
compete in the American job market. We will learn other languages here
-- it is deplorable that most Americans only speak English --but if you
want classes taught in your native language rather than in English,
this is not your school.

Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor, everything in
this school will reflect learning's elevated status. This means, among

people in our society dress more formally for Hollywood events than for
church or school. These people have their priorities backward.
Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.

Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school's

language I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications

There should be a test before you are allowed to vote. It certainly is as serious an activity as driving or braiding hair. The accumulated statistics on the test results will shock you.

This is only one step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System (the top banking position in the country). This position allowed him to see how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces that impact the monetary system.

I have found it very difficult to write since I lost my wife to Ovarian Cancer and unable to focus. After listening to the governor of LA I had to say something.

He was on one of the news shows this am and talking about how the government can not create jobs and I fully agree it is the private sector that we should look to for job creation, not big brother. He was asked why he supports Rick Perry as they were speaking about jobs being created and how the Obama administration can not create jobs. In the next breath he said he supports Perry because he created all those jobs in TX. I'm sorry but this is crap. How in the hell does he bitch about the federal government not creating jobs and in the same interview he supports Perry for doing what he said government can't do. I'm sorry but you can't have it bother ways for an election.

Until both parties start telling the truth no one will believe anything they say and that is the best. Politicians and lawyers are both the same, they talk out of both sides of their mouth. Far to many Americans listen to both sides and believe everything they say. A great deal of this country is damn near brain dead and better wake up before the next election and decide if they want freedom. If you want big brother to take care of you from birth to death, vote for the socialists who are in Washington now.

If you want freedom as our country was founded on, vote that way or don't bitch about what happens. Believe no one and research answers for yourself.

Walking Eagle

President BARACK OBAMA was invited to address a major gathering of the American Indian Nation two weeks ago in upstate New York .

He spoke for almost an hour about his plans for increasing every Native American's present standard of living. He referred to his time as a U.S. Senator and how he had voted for every Native American issue that came to the floor of the Senate.

Although President Obama was vague about the details of his plans, he seemed most enthusiastic and spoke eloquently about his ideas for helping his "red sisters and brothers."

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented Obama with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name, "Walking Eagle."

The proud President Obama accepted the plaque and then departed in his motorcade to a fundraiser, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later asked the group of chiefs how they came to select the new name they had given to the President.

They explained that "Walking Eagle" is the name given to a bird so full of shit that it can no longer fly.

Screw the Law, Screw the Congress and Stick the Immigration Laws. From what I have read on the net tonight, it appears in the wisdom of his high ass, Obama is going to ignore the wishes of the people, Congress and allow illegals stay to in the country so long as they get good grades.To hell with the congress as they no longer matter and the people, forget them, the messiah knows better. Remember he was a Community Organizer and the "Dream Act" is coming. Now he is again bypassing the congress as this SOB knows better. After breaking the bankruptcy laws and not providing for the bonds holders but taking care of his union voters what do you expect? Follow the law, not if it gets in his way.

What I don't understand is allowing him to break the bankruptcy laws and nothing happens. This so called leader is the weakest excuse for a president I have ever seen or heard of. I always thought Jimmy carter was bad but this organizer is far worse. From my time is St Louis and listening to Chicago politics, he has brought that to the white house and turned it into a cesspool of politicians.

We have all heard of or known an "Empty Suit" at one time or another. King of the Empty Suits resides in the white house for now. He and his group of clowns have attempted to destroy our country and if they remain, it WILL happen. The 2012 election is coming and I expect it to be filled with nothing but dirt as he can not run on his record. If he was in a third world county, he would have been overthrown and removed from power.

Do any of you remember him swearing to 'Defend the Constitution"? Will, that was a lie and he is a liar as he has done everything he can to shred it and believes it is no longer valid. He needs to go and go the American Way, VOTE THE SOB OUT. We can and will vote the SOB out and restore our country to what it has always been, Exceptional.

I wish to apologize to anyone and everyone who has read any of my comments. I have been involved with caring for my wife as she was fighting for her life from Ovarian Cancer. On June 12th she lost her battle and I lost my love.

Shortly I will once again be writing and making comments some will not like and many will. One of the first things I will go after has nothing to do with politics but why my wife's passing was preventable.

If my wife had been provided a simple blood test, she would be alive today but in the wisdom of some lame ass people (Physicians Assistant/Doctor) she was not advised about the life saving test nor offered. I point my finger directly at the Physicians Assistant. As we all know the first we thing fill out is a medical history including our extended family. After what happened, they must have used it for toilet paper as these lazy ass people did not bother to read it. If they did, than I would than believe they should be sued for medical malpractice.

My wife's medical history is very easy to understand, eight (8) aunts died from cancer, her mother died from cancer and her father had cancer at his death. Does anyone think her odds of not getting cancer were good? Most women get a screening for Breast Cancer or a Pap Smear for cervical cancer but very few get a CA-125 Blood Test for Ovarian. Far too many doctors tell their patients that the test is not accurate or not needed, yet every cancer center in this country uses it. One doctor here even told her a Pap was no longer needed at her age (64).

Dr. Rosenfeld on Fox News Sunday has EVERY FEMALE patient get the test. The National Cancer Society did a study of 34,000 women and stated they had 3,000 false positive test some of which had follow up that caused problems but found no cancer. No where did they say if anyone was found to have had ovarian and I wonder why. You can't have it both ways where every center uses it but family doctors say it is not needed.

I'm sorry, but who cares about false positives if you can save one person with a simple blood test why not do it. The symptoms for ovarian are not visible until you are usually in Stage Three and at that time your chances of survival are very low. Most women will not see another five years and yet if found in Stage 2, you have an extremely good chance of survival.

This lack of testing has nothing to do with Obamacare but will only get worse under his plan. It is bad enough now that mostly male doctors treat women different and it isn't always males that do. I think it is the lack of caring, reading the family history and being proactive when treating patients.

What I have learned is this, Take care of yourself, search the net for information and always get a second opinion. Learn what testing is out there if you have a family history of cancer or some other disease. If your doctor won't provide the testing with something as simple as a blood test that may save your life, fire the SOB and find a doctor who will work with you. Be sure the doctor is aware of any family history that could follow you as their staff may not look at what you wrote, meaning nurses or physicians assistant.

My wife is gone because a physicians assistant didn't do her job and was not proactive. Marie had a physical about 5 or 6 months before Stage Three appeared and it would have been found at Stage 1 or 2 if the CA-125 had been done with her other blood work. I blame myself for not finding out about test and the physicians assistant for not LOOKING at the family history as it was in Marie's file and discussed (I was present) at times with Donna. As she is no longer with the medical firm where this happened I don't know if it would be fair to mention them.

What I will do now is call that firm and ask if they do the test yet. Well, no one answered and appears they are closed. Their answering service link has been disconnected. The name of the firm was "Total Health" in Boone North Carolina. The branch my wife was treated at was in Newland, NC.

I am glad they are gone given the level of care but the lady who did not look at the family history nor provide the testing she should have is still in the area. Can't do anything about that but she has to live knowing that IF she had ordered the blood work at Marie's physical based on family history, my love would be here now.

Editor: I am sorry for some spelling as it was very hard to write this through the tears. I hope I have corrected all now and remember the test, CA-125 could save your wife or you.

If your paycheck or your social security or whatever is direct deposit, it will get a 1% tax charged for the transaction.

Dear Mr. President,

Welcome to the ashbin of history.

With the speech you gave this week, you have firmly and permanently put yourself in the same garbage bag as all the other communists and socialists of the 20th century.

Your speech sounded like the faint echo of a speech Lenin gave in an icy square in Moscow 100 years ago.

The promises you made, Mr. President, about the government giving people things they can't provide for themselves – a better income, reliable health care, an advanced education, cheaper mortgages, a "shiny, happy" life – have been made time and time again… sometimes by speakers even better than you.

And they have always been lies.

While the government can demand obedience (and taxes), it can't mandate dedication, creativity, or innovation. The fact is, the government itself is nothing more (or less) than the organized ambitions of the people. Promising something to the people that they don't already have is a logical absurdity. And therein lies the timeless flaw of all collectivist theory: Governments cannot deliver benefits to the people that the people cannot deliver to themselves.

To demonstrate this truth, consider this example… Governments cannot simply mandate higher tax revenue. Any substantial increase to tax rates will reduce total collections, an economic phenomenon known as the Laffer Curve. This has been proven countless times in our country and many others. Any sensible person will immediately understand why. Taxes are a disincentive. The higher the marginal rate of tax, the more powerful its impact.

That's why, over many decades (and many different tax structures), U.S. tax revenues have been remarkably stable at around 20% of GDP. That's why, as you surely know, Mr. President, changing the tax code will not result in increased tax revenue. Taxing only the rich simply doesn't work. It never has. And it never will. To increase the government's revenues, we must first increase the size of the economy. The government cannot tax what the economy doesn't produce.

In another time, most Americans might have simply ignored your speech as the ignorant remarks of yet another handsome, Ivy League-educated, dilettante president. But at this point in our history, my bet is people are going to take you far more seriously than you expect. In fact, I think you're going to get what you deserve – the trash heap. Why will Americans turn on you so rapidly and so completely?

Two things have changed – forever – about American politics.

The first is the media and access to critical information. It's no longer possible for a president's administration to control what people read, see, and think by simply managing the evening news broadcasts.

Thus, all your lies, are now exposed almost instantly and broadcast to millions of people via websites and services like the Drudge Report, Twitter, and Facebook. Socialism cannot possibly survive over any long period of time in a society with a free media – because socialism is based on a lie. Facebook means the "half-life" of socialism is now weeks instead of years. Even mainstream publications like the Wall Street Journal have called you a liar this week. They have no choice. Your lies were broadcast to the entire world long before their op-ed pieces appeared.

Your advisors told you none of these "bloggers" mattered. All you had to do was promise more benefits to more voters and then force fewer voters to pay for it all. I'm sure you did the political calculus… You believed your power to bribe and bamboozle the poor and the ignorant was stronger than the resentment you'd engender among the "rich." And I must admit… since at least World War II, that's been a safe bet in American politics.

But you forgot one critical factor: We simply can't afford this nonsense anymore…

Immediately after your speech, the price of silver went from $39 to a new high above $42. Gold went up, too.

These are signs, Mr. President, that the world is losing confidence in our currency. If our foreign creditors were to call in our debts, America would suffer an economic cataclysm unlike anything we've ever seen in our entire history. Americans now owe a total of $56 trillion. Without the Fed's money-printing, it's unlikely we could afford even the interest on these existing debts… much less the $1.5 trillion or more in debt you continue to rack up year after year by promising benefits we haven't earned.

Sooner or later, our foreign creditors are going to decide our money-printing amounts to a default, and they will stop buying our bonds. On that day, everyone who trusts you, everyone who believes in your lies, will be wiped out.

But that won't be as many people as you expect.

Almost every American knows in his heart what made this country great for the 200 years between 1776 and 1976. It wasn't the lies of our presidents. It wasn't our ability to print money and rip off our Chinese creditors. It wasn't the modern crybaby mentality of our school system or our unions. It wasn't the baby boomer's dream of a 40-year retirement with free prescription drugs. And it sure as hell wasn't a suave, made-for-TV version of Karl Marx promising everything to everyone, but with no way to pay for it.

No. What built America was her people's unwavering faith that they were free to enjoy the rewards of their accomplishments.

As our country tumbles into bankruptcy and crisis, the people are going to want their prosperity back, Mr. President. And deep down, they all know… even your most fervent supporters know… you don't have the goods. You don't have the foggiest idea of how to deliver prosperity to America because, really, you don't know anything of what America is all about.

Poverty Immigrating to America’s Welfare State

The article does not say this but our current unemployment problem is in the segment of the population with less than a highschool education. Our immigration policies only make it worse. As an example, PhD's have an unemployment rate of 2.5% which indicates a shortage. Over half the PhD's granted in the United States go to foreigners and it is near impossible for them to get a green card to stay here. Go figure.

Welfare spending is projected to skyrocket over the next 10 years, costing taxpayers $10.3 trillion and driving the United States toward bankruptcy. To make matters worse, a new report shows that the United States is seeing large percentage of its immigrant population exacting a costly toll on the welfare roles. According to Steven A. Camarota of the Center for Immigration Studies:

In 2009 (based on data collected in 2010), 57 percent of households headed by an immigrant (legal and illegal) with children (under 18) used at least one welfare program, compared to 39 percent for native households with children.

Camarota also notes that low education among immigrant-headed households is part of the problem:

Of households headed by an immigrant who has not graduated high school, 80 percent access the welfare system, compared to 25 percent for those headed by an immigrant who has at least a bachelor’s degree.

With means-tested welfare spending approaching $1 trillion per year and 15 percent ($100 billion per year) of total spending going to households headed by immigrants with high school degrees or less, limiting low-skill immigration is one way to tackle the problem. The Heritage Foundation’s Katherine Bradley and Robert Rector write:

Government policy should limit future immigration to those who will be net fiscal contributors, paying more in taxes than they receive in benefits. The legal immigration system should not encourage immigration of low-skill immigrants who would increase poverty in the nation and impose vast new costs on already overburdened taxpayers.

In addition, the government should not provide amnesty or “earned citizenship” to illegal immigrants, which would provide illegal immigrants with full access to the U.S. welfare system. Of the 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., at least 50 percent lack a high school degree. Giving this population amnesty and access to welfare would lead to a staggering increase in future welfare costs.

Growth in welfare spending is already on an untenable path; importing poverty, failing to reform the system, and allowing for the unlimited growth of welfare entitlements is a recipe for failure.

Universal health care... The health care bill had very little to do with health

free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt.

What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million

Cap and trade... Like health care legislation having nothing to do with
health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming.

It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control
of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors.
Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns
NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants.

They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and

the Democrat Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on

Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama

"spread the wealth around."

Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking

for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts

in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers.

But this has been Barack Hussein Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two

new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic

voters who are dependent on big government.

Legalize 12 million illegal Mexican immigrants... Just giving these 12 million potential

new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America.

But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support

big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children,
food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security .

Stimulus and bailouts... Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors,

organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of

government employees across the country.

It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues.

It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost

$1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers

(thereby protecting their union dues).

All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their
bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America.

The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama,

the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful.

Their ends justify their means.

Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators.

Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute their income,

punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama).

Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government.

Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.

With the acts outlined above, Barack Hussien Obama and his regime have created a vast

and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast

privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government

dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by

overwhelming the system.

Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by

Commenter "Crusty" had a good idea. He went back and looked at George W. Bush's speech after the capture of Saddam Hussein in order to compare it with Obama's self-aggrandizing "I was practically there, man" speech last Sunday. You know, the one where he used the word "I" like a carpenter uses tenpenny nails.

Victor Davis Hanson pulled all the first person references:

“Tonight, I can report . . . And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta . . . I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden . . . I met repeatedly with my national security team . . . I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action. . . . Today, at my direction . . . I’ve made clear . . . Over the years, I’ve repeatedly made clear . . . Tonight, I called President Zardari . . . and my team has also spoken. . .These efforts weigh on me every time I, as Commander-in-Chief . . . Finally, let me say to the families . . . I know that it has, at times, frayed. . . .”

Compare that with the speech given by George W. Bush on December 14, 2003:

President Bush's speech is completely outwardly directed. He speaks of the momentous occasion and gives all credit to the military and the intelligence community. There is no attempt to highlight his part in the story. Quite a contrast.

Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall. Please read the poem he wrote. It's below his picture.

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama . Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama ! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

As you all know, Donald Trump made a big deal about Obama's birth certificate. As of yesterday, the White House released the birth certificate.

I will tell you right now that I had never given this "birther" issue any credit. I watched the hype and the crazies come out. I completely dismissed the entire ordeal altogether. In fact, it was not until the White House released the birth certificate that it had gained my attention.

I am the studious sort of guy, and I have plenty of time on my hands. So, I took a close look at this document. While I would have thought that this issue would have been closed for good (and, got the crazies to crawl back into their holes), I found two extremely strange inconsistencies that merit some attention.

First of all, the birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father was born in "Kenya, East Africa".

This wouldn't seem like anything of concern [on the contrary, it is of great concern, because it confirms BO was born of only one citizen parent, grounds alone for removal from the WH, but we will ignore that fact for now], except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up until Kenya was formed in 1963 and at the time of Obama Sr.'s birth, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate".

But, this is not the only thing that I found that just does not jive.
The other item that I looked into was the hospital that Obama was born in. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital". This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?

Go ahead, look it up. I am not talking crazy talk, these are the facts. Like I said, I thought that this was a non-issue until the actual certificate was released. Now that it has been released, of course I had to look into it. Now I have found these issues, I know that something is up. If you doubt me, just look at the following resources:

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others.

HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took:

The melody out of music,

The pride out of appearance,

The courtesy out of driving,

The romance out of love,

The commitment out of marriage,

The responsibility out of parenthood,

The togetherness out of the family,

The learning out of education,

The service out of patriotism,

The Golden Rule from rulers,

The nativity scene out of cities,

The civility out of behavior,

The refinement out of language,

The dedication out of employment,

The prudence out of spending,

The ambition out of achievement or
God out of government and school.

And we certainly are NOT the ones who

eliminated patience and tolerance from

personal relationships and interactions with

others!!

And, we do understand the meaning of patriotism,
and remember those who have fought and died for

our country. Just look at the Seniors with tears in

their eyes and pride in their hearts as they stand at

attention with their hand over their hearts!
